Community Highlights: Meet Christina Diya-Bernhard of 3Eleven Advertising

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Diya-Bernhard.

Hi Christina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a small Texas town surrounded by a lot of people who were into a simple rural life. I always dreamed of the city and doing big things. It was in me for as long as I can remember.
My parents were an exception to the slow rural life as they were extremely hard workers. My father was a small business owner and my mom climbed the corporate ladder in business. They instilled a solid work ethic and a love for business in me.
I know what it’s like to build a business from scratch as it was a family effort to get my dad’s business going and it’s still strong today.
As I moved through college and the corporate world, I knew starting my own business is a path that made the most sense for me. My love for growing businesses aligned perfectly with my advertising skills and my career took off from there. Today I absolutely love what I do in 3Eleven Advertising. We work with many small businesses and I love being a part of their dream.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When things were running smoothly, I think it was simply because I hadn’t been in business long enough haha
We’ve definitely been through some roller coasters, but things got the toughest when I had my daughter. I had her solo at the time as a solo mother by choice and it definitely rocked me as I found it very difficult to keep my business running and thriving postpartum without sleep. My daughter didn’t sleep through the night until almost 2 years old and it certainly hit the business hard.

It was such a blessing though because it made us go through a complete re-invention and I even renamed my agency after the moment she was born at 3:11 p.m. Our services and expertise up-leveled in so many ways after that and we’ve been better than ever. I don’t think I would have re-invented the entire company without that experience.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about 3Eleven Advertising?
We help small businesses grow through advertising. We work with a lot of service-based businesses such as spas, medspas, home services and online businesses. We specialize in Meta/Instagram, Google ads/YouTube Ads, automations and data analysis. We know how to gather accurate data, evaluate it properly and use it to create lead generation systems for our clients that keep their business steady and consistently grow so they’re not chasing new clients.

What we love about our brand is that we are authentic. We don’t use weird, slimy advertising to try and persuade people that might not be right for your business. We help our clients advertise as their brand and tell their stories to attract the right people and combine that with the strategies and expertise that brings the actual results.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
For anyone starting out, I would just expect to work much harder than you think you need to. I think a lot of people underestimate how much work it is to start and grow a business. Some people get lucky being in the right place at the right time, but I wouldn’t count on getting lucky. It’s going to be a ton of work and if it feels really hard, welcome to business. It’s hard when it’s not growing, it’s hard when it is growing. It’s just hard, but it is so so worth it to make a difference and build something only you created.
