Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Abelar Gutierrez.
Hi Cynthia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started getting my real estate license as soon as I graduated. I took a lot of time researching schools that would set me up with the best knowledge in this industry. After endless studying and good faith, I passed my exam on the very first try. I took time interviewing brokers until I found the best option that matched my morals. I’ve been working on my business since then, learning through the mistakes I make and not being afraid to ask for help and guidance.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes, it can be challenging. The Real Estate industry is like an endless pit, consisting of contracts, geography, interest rates, and much more. There is always something to learn and room for mistakes, no matter your level of expertise. It’s safe to say every agent goes through a reality check starting. You did well on the tests, and you understood well. But you can’t help but sigh when you discover the missed detail that snowballed into a fatal error. Even so, every transaction, interaction, or mistake is a lesson learned, and it gets better every step of the way. It can feel like your brain is filled with real estate, yet you’ve only scratched its surface.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about JB Goodwin?
JBGoodwin’s motto is to “Help People,” and he’s been doing so for 50 years. As a Realtor, I help people in my community buy and sell their homes. When interviewing brokers, I needed to partner with someone who matched with me ethically. My clients must feel confident throughout the transaction; closing is a huge commitment, so I encourage them to ask questions or share their concerns if there are any. I won’t promise a flawless, pristine transaction, but I will promise representation, transparency, and communication.
Who else deserves credit for your story?
God blessed me with such an incredible support system. My family supports me through all my ups and downs. I also have a great office team I can visit when needed, and I am always happy to share their infinite wisdom. Last but not least, my wonderful clients are what keeps me going!
