Community Highlights: Meet Fatima Grano Salazar of The Reel POV

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fatima Grano Salazar.

Hi Fatima, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started when I hired a content creator for my wedding in Mexico back in 2025. It was a relatively new concept, and I struggled to find options, but I thought it was something really cool and original. So after my wedding, I decided I wanted to give it a shot as well. I work in advertising, and I already had a couple of years of experience in content creation. But event content is a different world, because there is no selling intention behind it (like there would be for a brand or business), it’s pure storytelling and capturing raw emotions — which is why I love it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a roller coaster of emotions. I do consider myself to be extroverted and a risk taker — but putting yourself out there on your own is always scary.
And the biggest challenge has been building trust and confidence, not just in myself but for clients.
The wedding market is incredibly saturated, and it’s one I had no prior knowledge of, and with that comes doubt — do I even stand a chance? Am I late to the game? How do I stand out? These are all questions I keep asking myself every day, but with every new booking and opportunity comes reassurance that I’m on the right track.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Reel POV. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Reel POV is a content creation service for weddings and all types of social events. As your content creator, I’m basically your paparazzi for the day.
Many wonder what the difference is between a content creator and a videographer, and aside from the filming format — portrait mode on phone vs. landscape mode on camera — it’s the deliverables. A videographer films a full-day movie, a longer video with a documentary-style focus. As a content creator, I capture short clips of your day and edit them into highlight videos you can share online and offline, within just 72 hours after the event.
Everyone has their own style, but The Reel POV is meant to capture every moment authentically, so you can relive your day exactly as it happened— all seen through the real point of view.

When it comes to business events, the process is the same, but the content is aligned with the message each brand wants to communicate. This is a huge plus especially for smaller entrepreneurs that need content for their socials but don’t have time to be filming and editing — on top of planning an event.

I cover anywhere from small, intimate parties to weddings, quinceañeras, pop-ups and even dance recitals.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
You can contact me through my socials or my email! I’m always looking to connect with other brands and creatives.
