Community Highlights: Meet Jennifer Jones of Love Sex Trust Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Jones.

Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Mission
To democratize access to high quality psycho-education to decrease intergenerational trauma.

It was love at first sight when Chris and I met later in life. Blending our professional talents, my almost 30 years of being a psychotherapist, specializing in relationships and couples, and his lifetime of being an industrial and fine artist, alongside our romantic relationship, our business became an organic result. We have an ecosystem of emotional intelligence training workbooks.

Our gratitude and ability to find each other, face ourselves and build our happy relationship is a core strength to this product. Motivating others to value themselves and identify their ideal is the Love Sex Trust Production brand.

Our Dedication
Not everyone can heal a broken heart. For those who have even an inkling of desire to do so, to take a courageous journey within, we are here for you.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest challenge was being patient with ourselves and managing cash flow, while juggling another business, adult kids, a life and our relationship. Working together was really fun, even though a lot of people thought that was the most challenging part. Self-funding for a start up is always an interesting ride, especially with AI comes along and changes the face of private practice, which was fueling the capital for this second company. I appreciated every challenge and learned immensely. In response to some of these challenges and our desire to live abroad, we ended up moving to Panama City, where I work digitally with this company and via telehealth for my practice.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Pain Point

Love Sex and Trust create a feedback loop in relationships.

When these three elements are working in harmony, you feel great.

When these three elements aren’t working well, you don’t.

You and/or your clients may not have been taught how to make Love Sex Trust work well, and have become more experienced with suffering, coping or striving, than with love.

Leading to a prevalent incorrect assumption that relationships, dating, monogamy or marriage itself is inherently flawed.

As a result, you tell yourself not to get your hopes up, to be grateful with what you have, or that you’re better off alone.

The Pain Problem
Intergenerational trauma that hasn’t yet been resolved tends to be the origin of your own relationship suffering.

Adults base what to expect from and how to be in relationships from their first teachers, their parents. If parents aren’t happy, children absorb their pain, create expectations and beliefs, conscious and unconscious.

As an adult, you copy similar patterns based on limited awareness and tools. When these don’t work, you’re not good at learning from pain. You’re good at confirming negative beliefs.

Pain prompts people to either self-isolate or seek help.

Those who self isolate generalize their feeling of pain into a negative world view, finding evidence for it as a foundational truth. Even though relying on negative and defensive beliefs, they often want to feel better.

Those who seek help also want to feel better, but only truly evolve if the help feels uniquely relatable to their specific pain point.

Those who seek help also want to feel better, but only truly evolve if the help feels uniquely relatable to their specific pain point.

The problem is further compounded because:

People assume suffering in relationships is normal.
People who grow up around negative relationships often unconsciously repeat negative patterns.
People want to be happy, but they don’t know how to change their situation.
People want change, but don’t trust, can’t afford or don’t like helping professionals.
People may trust, but don’t like reading long books and need smart action plans.
