Hi Louren , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into the beauty industry began with a passion for helping others feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. I’ve always believed that beauty goes beyond physical appearance. It’s about how we feel about ourselves, the confidence we carry, and the moments we take to care for ourselves.
As I began my career as a licensed esthetician, I discovered how much I genuinely loved connecting with people. Whether I was helping someone achieve their skincare goals, enhancing their natural beauty through lash extensions, or simply providing a relaxing environment where they could unwind, I found fulfillment in knowing I could make a positive difference in someone’s day.
Throughout my career, I gained valuable hands-on experience, developed my skills, and learned just how important trust and education are in this industry. Working with different clients helped me recognize that everyone’s needs, concerns, and goals are unique. I wanted to create an experience where clients never felt rushed, judged, or pressured, but instead felt heard, educated, and genuinely cared for.
Eventually, I realized that I wanted to build something of my own. I had a vision of creating a welcoming space where quality esthetic services and personalized care could go hand in hand, without making self-care feel like an unattainable luxury.
That vision became Simply Aesthetics, my independent esthetics studio located in Round Rock, Texas.
Taking the leap into entrepreneurship was both exciting and intimidating. Building a business from the ground up meant stepping outside my comfort zone, learning to navigate the challenges of being a business owner, and trusting myself enough to pursue something I truly believed in.
Today, Simply Aesthetics offers a variety of services, including customized facials, lash extensions, lash lifts, brow treatments, and waxing. My goal is to create an environment where every client feels welcomed, comfortable, and confident in the services they receive.
One of my biggest dreams is to help make professional esthetic services more financially accessible. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to invest in themselves and experience quality self-care, regardless of their background or budget.
Although I’m still growing as both an esthetician and a business owner, I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. Every client who trusts me, every referral, and every small milestone reminds me why I started.
For me, Simply Aesthetics is more than a beauty business. It’s a reflection of my passion, my values, and my desire to create meaningful connections while helping others feel beautiful in their own skin.
And I truly believe this is only the beginning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would be lying if I said it has been a smooth road! While becoming a business owner has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, it has also been one of the most challenging.
One of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced has been transitioning from working for an established salon to building a business entirely on my own. When you’re working for someone else, there are already systems, clientele, and a reputation in place. When you become independent, you’re suddenly responsible for creating all of those things yourself.
I’ve had to learn that being passionate about esthetics and knowing how to run a successful business are two very different skill sets. Overnight, I went from focusing primarily on providing services to also becoming my own marketing team, social media manager, receptionist, accountant, and everything in between.
Financial uncertainty has also been a significant challenge. Starting a business requires investing not only money but also an incredible amount of time and energy, often without knowing when you’ll see a return. There have been slower weeks, moments of self-doubt, and times when I’ve questioned whether I was making the right decisions.
One thing I’ve learned is that entrepreneurship can be incredibly humbling. You can pour your heart into something, work tirelessly behind the scenes, and still have days when things don’t go according to plan. It’s easy to compare your progress to others, especially in an industry where social media often highlights everyone’s successes but rarely shows the struggles that happen along the way.
However, these challenges have taught me patience, adaptability, and resilience. I’ve learned to celebrate the smaller victories, whether that’s welcoming a new client, receiving a heartfelt review, or having someone return because they genuinely enjoyed their experience.
I’ve also had to remind myself that success doesn’t happen overnight. Building something meaningful takes consistency, dedication, and a willingness to keep showing up, even when things feel uncertain.
I’m still navigating many of these challenges today, and I think that’s an important part of my story. I’m not someone who has everything figured out. I’m a young entrepreneur learning, growing, and doing my best to turn something I’m passionate about into something sustainable.
Despite the obstacles, I wouldn’t trade the experience. Every challenge has pushed me to become more resourceful, more confident, and more appreciative of the people who continue to support Simply Aesthetics.
If there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that progress isn’t always linear, and sometimes the greatest growth happens during the most difficult seasons.

Simply Aesthetics is an independently owned esthetics studio located in Round Rock, Texas, specializing in skincare, lash extensions, lash lifts, brow services, and body waxing. I created Simply Aesthetics with one goal in mind: to provide a welcoming, comfortable environment where clients can prioritize themselves, feel confident in their natural beauty, and receive high-quality services tailored to their individual needs.
As a licensed esthetician, I offer a variety of treatments, including customized facials, dermaplaning, classic, hybrid, and volume lash extensions, lash lifts, brow laminations, tinting, and facial and body waxing. I work with professional skincare brands such as Circadia and believe that achieving beautiful, healthy skin starts with understanding each client’s unique concerns and goals.
What sets Simply Aesthetics apart is my approach to client care. I don’t believe beauty services should feel intimidating, rushed, or transactional. I want every person who walks through my door to feel genuinely welcomed, listened to, and comfortable asking questions.
Education is a huge part of my philosophy. Whether I’m explaining the importance of proper lash extension aftercare, helping someone understand their skin concerns, or walking a first-time waxing client through what to expect, I want my clients to feel informed and empowered. My goal isn’t simply to perform a service; it’s to build trust and create lasting relationships.
Another important part of my brand is accessibility. I’ve always believed that self-care shouldn’t be reserved for special occasions or treated as something only certain people can afford. One of my long-term goals is to make professional esthetic services more financially accessible without compromising the quality of products, treatments, or the overall client experience.
I also recognize that everyone’s beauty goals are different. Some clients want a dramatic lash transformation, while others prefer subtle enhancements. Some are working toward long-term skincare goals, while others simply need an hour to relax and recharge. I love being able to offer a variety of services that accommodate those different needs and preferences.
What I’m most proud of is the environment and identity I’m building through Simply Aesthetics. From the calming atmosphere of my studio to the relationships I develop with my clients, every detail reflects the kind of experience I want people to associate with my business: welcoming, intentional, educational, and personal.
As a small business owner, I understand that clients have countless options when choosing where to receive their beauty services. The fact that someone chooses to trust me with their skin, lashes, or personal care is something I never take for granted.
Ultimately, I want Simply Aesthetics to be known as more than just another beauty studio. I want it to be a place where people feel seen, respected, and beautiful exactly as they are.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, success isn’t necessarily measured by how much money you make, how many clients you have, or how quickly your business grows. While financial stability and professional accomplishments are important, I believe true success is about creating a life you’re proud of while making a positive difference in the lives of others.
As a business owner, success means having the freedom to build something that reflects my values, allows me to express my creativity, and gives me the opportunity to genuinely connect with people. It’s knowing that someone walked into my studio feeling insecure, overwhelmed, or simply needing a moment for themselves, and left feeling more confident, relaxed, and cared for.
I also believe success is found in the smaller moments that often go unnoticed. It’s the client who trusts me enough to return, the person who recommends my business to a friend, or the realization that something I once only dreamed about is slowly becoming a reality.
On a personal level, success means creating financial stability for myself and my family while maintaining a healthy balance between my career and personal life. I want to build a future where I can provide for the people I love, enjoy the life I’m working so hard to create, and eventually look back knowing that the sacrifices I made were worth it.
I’ve also learned that success doesn’t always look like constant growth. Sometimes it means overcoming a difficult season, learning from a mistake, or simply having the courage to keep going when things aren’t happening as quickly as you’d hoped.
My definition of success continues to evolve as I grow, but one thing remains constant: I never want to become so focused on reaching the next milestone that I forget to appreciate how far I’ve already come.
Ultimately, if I can build a sustainable business that makes people feel valued, create a comfortable life for my family, and remain true to the person I am throughout the process, I would consider that a beautiful definition of success.
