Hi Olga , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from Belarus and have been in the beauty industry since 2011. I started with permanent makeup and eyelash extensions, which remain my core specialties to this day.
In 2014, I moved to Austin, Texas without speaking English. It was a challenging time, as I had to adapt to a new country while rebuilding my career and client base from scratch.
In 2017, I independently opened my first salon, Vilero Lash & Brow. I had no team or support at the time and built everything on my own. This experience shaped my approach to quality, discipline, and service standards.
Over time, I expanded into developing my own product brands. I founded Vilero for eyelash extension materials, launched Nailzy for nail products, and developed Smart Pedicure, a product currently pending patent.
My main focus remains permanent makeup and lash services, but over time we expanded our offerings. We also provide injectable treatments in the clinic, allowing us to deliver more comprehensive, high level results for our clients.
Russian manicure was introduced as a new direction in 2023 and is developing as an additional service, without shifting the focus away from my core expertise.
In 2024, we rebranded and scaled into ICON Beauty Clinic a more advanced concept built around high standards, quality, and a strong brand identity rather than volume.
My journey has been about growth, adaptation, and building a strong business from the ground up in a completely new country.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part was starting over in a country where I did not speak the language and did not fully understand the local mentality. At some point, you realize that even though you have professional experience, you still have to prove your value again in a new market.
I had to learn how to communicate with clients, understand their expectations, build trust, and at the same time figure out business processes, rent, licensing, taxes, marketing, and promotion.
It was also challenging to accept that in the U.S., being a good artist is not enough. You have to build a brand, an online presence, a reputation, and a system.
It was not easy, but it taught me discipline, flexibility, and the ability to start from zero without giving up.

ICON Beauty Clinic is a beauty clinic located in downtown Austin, focused on high-quality, precision-based services rather than volume.
Our core services include permanent makeup, eyelash extensions, injectable treatments, Russian manicure, and Smart Pedicure. Each service is built around technique, attention to detail, and long-lasting results.
What sets us apart is our foundation. All of our techniques are based on European training and standards, where the focus is on clean work, precision, and consistency. This approach is still considered niche in the U.S. market and differs significantly from fast, volume-based service models.
In addition to services, we have developed our own product brands, including Vilero for lash materials, Nailzy for nail products, and Smart Pedicure, a professional system currently pending patent. This allows us to control quality not only in our services but also in the products we use.
We also provide professional training in our key specialties, sharing our techniques and standards with other beauty professionals.
We are most proud of building a strong brand in a highly competitive market while staying committed to our standards and not compromising on quality.
How do you define success?
For me, success is not only about money or numbers. Success is building something that has value, reputation, and long-term trust.
I define success as being able to create a business from the ground up, stay true to my standards, and continue growing without compromising quality. It is when clients come back, recommend us, trust our work, and feel that they received a high-level experience.
Success also means freedom. The ability to make decisions, build my own brands, create new products, train other professionals, and keep evolving.
For me, success is not reaching one final point. It is the ability to keep growing while staying honest to who I am and what I believe in.
