Hi Vanessa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from California & have officially been a Texan for 14 years now (that makes me official if I do say so myself🤠)
I am a mother of 2 amazing girls Melanie & Ellianna who keep me extremely busy with dance, sports & all of their other endeavors they decide they want to do.
I worked in the aviation industry for 6.5 years & in that time Sparkle & Shine was born!
Being more available for my daughters & family was always a big thing for me so for that 6.5 years I worked 3rd shift & somehow got my business off the ground & running during the day. The true definition of team no sleep!!
My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2018 & that’s a big part of what drove me to put my all into this & make it successful so I could have the freedom I needed for my family!
My mother is no longer with us but she was able to see how successful I was within my business & I can say from the bottom of my heart that I know I made her proud!
I would not be where I am today without the support of my clients & amazing community!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say I have been extremely blessed in my business and things have been very smooth. Learning to say no was a huge struggle for me in the beginning when I was trying to build my clientele. There has been a lot of trial and errors in almost every aspect of my business that has led me to where I’m currently at but I’m always learning and looking for ways to improve!

We offer a loyalty program that earns you money off of your cleans and I do my best to always show up with a beautiful floral arrangement to show my appreciation and make each client feel special!
We have won 1st place for best house cleaning company the last 5 years from The Hays Free Press best of north hays and I could not be more proud of that!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
INTEGRITY and COMPASSION!
My integrity means everything to me and I feel it’s a huge factor in what sets me apart from the rest!
Being compassionate in my line of work is a necessity that has to come from the heart!
