Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Garland.
Hi Allison, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am originally from Michigan. I moved south to Texas in 2018 for love and found a rewarding nursing career and community in Austin.
After travel nursing for years I have planted roots in the city and love to explore on my days off. I am passionate about travel, outdoor activities, yoga and the community I’ve encountered here. I currently juggle my work as a nurse and hosting with air bnb.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I got a divorce in 2022 and that flipped my world upside down. The challenges of navigating heartbreak while staying afloat financially have continued to be a struggle.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Registered Nurse. I have been in the field now for over 8 years. My background ranges from med surg to ICU. I’ve worked as a travel nurse in 5 states and now I am back to Austin.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
My community has been instrumental in my development personally and professionally. I adore my family and friends as well as my pet Oliver. They have all been incredible in supporting me through every step of my journey.
