Hi Claudio, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Sure! I was born in Portugal, but my roots trace back to Angola and Congo, which have deeply influenced my creativity and sense of identity. I’ve always had a strong passion for fashion, art, and self-expression. I studied fashion design and eventually started my own brand, Acconde, focused on high-quality pieces made in the U.S. that reflect both elegance and cultural depth.
Alongside that, I’ve grown as a content creator and stylist, using social media to share not just fashion, but moments of lifestyle, motivation, and creativity. The journey hasn’t been easy, but staying grounded in my purpose and identity has helped me evolve step by step into the person and creative I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road, but I believe that’s where the growth happens. Moving from Portugal, living in New York, and then starting over again in Austin all came with challenges being away from family, adjusting to new environments, and at times having to rebuild from scratch.
Starting my own brand took a lot of sacrifice. There were moments of doubt, financial pressure, and trying to balance multiple responsibilities. But every setback taught me something valuable about consistency, patience, and staying true to my vision. It’s those hard moments that built my discipline and made me appreciate the progress even more.

Absolutely! I’m a fashion designer, stylist, and creative director, and I’m also the founder of Acconde, a clothing brand that focuses on timeless, high-quality pieces made in the U.S. My work blends minimalism with cultural identity, drawing inspiration from my African roots (Angola & Congo), my European background, and the everyday lifestyle of modern creatives.
Aside from fashion, I also work as a content creator and visual storyteller, using platforms like Instagram to share style inspiration, personal growth, and a touch of artistic expression through photography, music, and design.
What I’m most proud of is staying true to my values and creating a brand that reflects not only style, but substance. I’m not just selling clothes I’m building a story around confidence, quality, and intentional living.
What sets me apart is my eye for detail, the authenticity behind everything I do, and the way I bring culture, design, and personal story together into one creative voice.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Definitely I wouldn’t be where I am today without a few key people along the way. First, my close friends who believed in my vision before it even became real. They encouraged me when I had doubts, supported my ideas, and even modeled or helped with early photoshoots when I was just getting started.
I’ve also had some amazing clients and supporters who trusted my brand and my work from the beginning their feedback and loyalty gave me the confidence to keep going and refining my craft.
And while I never had a formal mentor, I’ve learned a lot by observing others I admire in the fashion and creative world people who inspire me through their discipline, authenticity, and courage to be different.
Every little word of support, repost, or genuine compliment has fueled me in ways people don’t always realize. I’m grateful for all of it.
