Hi Jayna & Joey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We were married on October 7, 2023, and like most couples planning their big day, we spent months searching for the perfect vendors. That’s when we discovered Caketini Bar—and instantly knew we had to book them. It ended up being the biggest hit of our entire wedding.
Fast forward to February 2024: the CEO approached me with an opportunity to invest and help expand the brand. Because I had already seen firsthand how the concept sells itself—thanks to its unique, one‑of‑a‑kind cake experience—I didn’t hesitate. I accepted the offer and jumped right in.
Right away, I began reaching out to venues and securing spots at open houses to showcase the Caketini experience. Just as I expected, the bookings started pouring in. Before we knew it, our name was everywhere and we were busier than we ever imagined. It has been incredibly rewarding, and since then we’ve served thousands of guests their very own custom Caketini creations.
So, what exactly is a Caketini?
For each event, the host selects four cake flavors, four fillings, four frostings, and four toppings from our menu of more than fourteen options in each category. We turn those selections into a personalized menu displayed on our bar.
Guests then approach the bar, choose one item from each category, and we build their custom dessert right in front of them—served beautifully in a martini glass.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In the beginning, earning the trust of fellow vendors, venues, and—most importantly—our event hosts was definitely a challenge. We were new, and people weren’t quite sure what to expect from such a unique concept. But once our name started circulating and everyone saw the consistency of our work, everything shifted. The trust came naturally, the momentum built quickly, and from there… it was a piece of cake (pun fully intended).
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I spent many years working in healthcare, but I always knew I was meant to be my own boss. That drive led me to start my own cleaning company, which quickly became successful—and still is today. While planning my own wedding, I discovered just how much I loved the event world. The creativity, the energy, the logistics, the people—it all clicked for me. So when the opportunity came to invest in Caketini Bar by Jayna & Joey, I went all in.
From there, everything grew naturally. After several years of serving smiles and creating thousands of custom Caketini experiences, I opened my third company: Hitched Without A Glitch, a wedding coordination business built on organization, intention, and seamless execution.
Joey has worked full‑time in the financial industry for nearly 15 years, yet still manages to play a huge role in Caketini Bar by Jayna & Joey. His support, consistency, and behind‑the‑scenes work have been instrumental in helping us grow into the thriving multi‑business team we are today.
What makes you happy?
Helping others has always been at the core of who we are. We naturally put people before ourselves, and it’s something we take pride in. We say it all the time—we’re incredibly blessed to have built the life we live, and because of that, we feel a responsibility to help others succeed too.
Whether someone needs a pep talk, honest advice, or an extra set of hands, we’re more than willing to show up. If it makes someone’s day a little easier or brings them a little joy, then it’s worth it to us. Supporting others is one of our greatest rewards.
