Conversations with Veniese Razo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veniese Razo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Veniese, a Movement and Pilates Instructor dedicated to teaching you movement for YOUR body.

With 10+ years of experience between Pilates and Movement training, I bring you client-centered classes to raise your body, spirit, and mind to a higher level.

While I come from a contemporary Pilates background, I teach a vast range of styles and love mixing it up!

My studies in Psychology, Dance, and Theatre Arts give me a nuanced understanding of the body’s connection to the mind, heart, and spirit inside of you.

Plus, I educate you while we have fun!

My Pilates teaching journey began as I searched for a career I could truly love, which would stand the test of time. I continue to love Pilates because it allows me wonderful ways to help others learn about their bodies and feel more in control of their movements. I’m happy creating a safe, inclusive space no matter the goals.

I offer in-person, destination, and the most popular- Virtual Sessions. I strive to find a way to meet clients where they are—in the middle of their busy lives, hectic travel, and ever-changing schedules. Virtual pilates private sessions is a flexible, feel-good way to keep moving, no matter how full your calendar gets. Think of it as your pocket-sized pick-me-up: effective, uplifting, and always just a click away.

My teaching style has been described as compassionate, challenging, and adaptive. I strive to teach in such a way that my clients have a great workout and also feel seen, included, and more confident in their bodies and minds.

I bring in the mindset that I am always learning and growing, and as I do, so will you!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There has definitely been struggles along the way as any business owner knows. Opening your own Pilates and movement business comes with its share of challenges—navigating the uncertainty of steady income, wearing every hat from instructor to marketer, and constantly balancing passion with practicality. There’s the pressure of standing out in a crowded wellness space, building trust with clients, and managing the logistics of both virtual and in-person offerings. It takes resilience, creativity, and a deep belief in the value of movement—even when the path gets tough. I do not come from a business background so I have strived through every stubbed toe setting up equipment, to redoing a website several times, to maintaining an ever evolving schedule. Its the passion of teaching and seeing people grow physically and mentally that continues to motivate me forward.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in building movement communities, Im known for a bubbly personality and always striving to continue my education. Outside of Pilates I am passionate about performing in theater, film, and dance as well as painting and visual arts. I strive to meld these worlds together and bring creativity to every session I teach.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
