Daily Inspiration: Meet DJ Bright

Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Bright.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Started DJing in 2022 when I got a DJ controller as a wedding gift from my wife. I self taught myself with the help of YouTube watching other established DJs I have gone ahead to play at nearly all types of events and venues in Austin ( big or small) . Amazing to see myself grow in this short period of time to where I am today

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like every good thing there has been challenges but overcoming them one at a time. Every level brings it own challenges when I first started it was getting high paying gigs but now it’s about pulling my own personal intentional events and having people come share that vision with me

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a DJ and event curator. I am well known for Afrobeats and Amapiano genre. I can say I have the best mixing ever seen and that is what sets me apart. Not just playing music but taking people on a journey when I DJ.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I have always loved music growing up. I am the last of the family of 4 and my parents and brothers taste in music helped shaped who I am today. We listed to everything back then. From reggae to hip-hop to country music. My home was always a vibe and that is why today I am so versatile in my craft because I understand music. Back in my college days I was a boys music group and that also helped me see how music is done professionally
