Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Shin.
Hi Jasmine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always had a passion for a career in fashion and music. I was invited to model for a local brand in Austin during my first year in college when I had my first taste of the industry. I didn’t realize the potential in this so I continued to focus on school while sharing my life of social media. As I started to gain more followers, brands started to reach out for modeling. This is when I decided to give my passion a shot. From smaller local brands up to brands with millions of followers, I’ve enjoyed bringing fashion to my followers. Apart from fashion, I am also working on launching my music career. Currently, I am working on composing my new album, so stay tuned!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
At first, when I started modeling in college, I was not confident enough about my body, so I struggled with eating disorders in order to stay fit. It took me a while to overcome and accept my body for what it is and adore every change that happens to it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am currently an Instagram influencer that specializes in fashion and lifestyles. I am also an artist focusing on Electronic Music. I am proud of making the decision to follow my passion for fashion and music while also continuing the pursuit of knowledge in software engineering to be a well-rounded person.
