Daily Inspiration: Meet Micaela Enderle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Micaela Enderle.

Hi Micaela, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I can remember as far back as middle school telling my friends “I want to be my own boss one day.” I didn’t know it then, but I was manifesting big time. I always knew corporate America and making someone else rich wasn’t for me. Growing up economically challenged wasn’t a setback, it became my driving force. Once I graduated college in 2017, I did what most graduates do, I got a corporate job. I was happy at first but quickly realized what I always knew, as it went against everything I truly wanted. Once quarantine hit and my job went fully remote that’s when I knew I had to make a career change. Enter permanent make up.

When brainstorming for a business idea I knew it had to be in beauty or fashion, as these were always my true passions. While scrolling through Instagram one day, I came across a permanent makeup class. I had my own brows done in 2018 so I was familiar with the permanent makeup world. I did some research, I talked to some friends, and I thought ‘what do I have to lose’? Once I completed my first class, I was hooked. I knew I found something that I was passionate about and truly loved doing. The feeling was freeing and liberating.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. After all, anything worth having doesn’t come easy. Starting a business from scratch with no past experience and no one to mentor me made the entire endeavor daunting. I struggled with EVERYTHING, from mastering my actual skill to obtaining my licensing.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a permanent makeup artist specializing in powder eyebrows. I use a machine, similar to a tattoo gun, to shade in your brows. It’s an entire process from mapping them out to picking your color. It’s great for those who are tired of spending too much time trying to get their brow makeup even or those who just want to wake up and not worry about them! What I’m most proud of is actually starting a business and not giving up when it was really challenging. I’ve noticed when I don’t get instant gratification or results, I like to throw in the towel, but with the encouragement of my friends and family, I didn’t. Thank God

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Never ever ever give up. It’s really that simple. If you pour your heart and soul into something you believe in, the universe will reward your hard work. You have to trust the process and know that everything is happening just the way it should, even if it’s happening slower than you’d like. Your literal blood, sweat, and tears do pay off and it’s the most satisfying feeling. In ways, I wish I’d known just how challenging it would be to start a business financially and otherwise, but honestly it just makes you better and more well equipped for any other roadblocks that come your way.
