Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Sackson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
All my life, I have been fascinated with the unseen, the unknown, and the fantastical. As a child, I was obsessed with Uri Geller and his spoon-bending, ghost stories, the extraordinary feats found in the Guinness Book of World Records, and all things supernatural. I felt more connected to the world of myth and magic than I did to my own everyday life. I wanted nothing more than to be a psychic, a healer, a magical being with extrasensory abilities. I was following breadcrumbs toward a deeper place within myself where consciousness lived and thrived, and where a vast, multi-dimensional reality existed far beyond the ordinary.
At 14, I dove into a meditation practice, began collecting crystals, and picked up my first tarot deck.
At 18, I moved into my first apartment with roommates , and almost immediately, things got interesting. We started experiencing what I can only describe as a poltergeist haunting: footsteps, doors opening and closing on their own, objects flying off shelves and counters. One night, my best friend and I decided we were going to contact the spirit through tarot cards and ask it to move on. The ghost must have known what we were planning, because that afternoon something truly unforgettable happened. It was a hot, dry August day, and yet when my friend called me into my bedroom, it was cold, clammy, and the walls were wet with condensation. We were absolutely freaked out. Whatever we did, it worked. That was the last day we experienced any paranormal activity in that apartment.
At 25, I got my first place alone, and the activity came back with a vengeance. It got so bad I was losing sleep, too afraid to close my eyes. When it was hot, I’d wake up to the gas heater blazing. When it was cold, I’d wake up to the ceiling fan spinning at full speed directly above me. I’d walk ten feet to my mailbox and come back to a locked front door. I’d turn off the TV, head for the door, and it would come back on, sometimes three or four times in a row. Every single day without fail, one of my two clocks would be hours off, always the correct minute, but always wildly wrong on the hour, and this happened to both a digital clock and one that had to be changed manually. I left town for two weeks, and my pet sitter told me that every time he came in, a small tiger statue had moved to a completely different spot in the apartment. I felt like no one believed me, until he did.
When it started following me into my car and my workplace, I’d had enough. I went home and screamed into the void: ENOUGH. I said out loud, “If you want to communicate with me, we are going to do it on my terms. This is my home. I am going to the Bodhi Tree bookstore, and if you are real, you need to guide me to the book that will teach me how to properly communicate with you, so you can stop interrupting my life.” This was before YouTube, before social media, before Google could help a girl out with a poltergeist situation. So off to the bookstore I went.
The very first book I came across was a book on accessing the Akashic Records. I ignored it and spent hours pulling down book after book on ancient esoteric wisdom, mysticism, and the mysterious. But that Akashic book kept calling me back. I bought it, brought it home, and read it cover to cover in one sitting. It changed everything. I was immediately able to access my records with a ease that astonished me. I enrolled in a weekend workshop and hit the ground running.
I started practicing by offering $20 readings to whoever would let me. Session by session, I got stronger in my ability to trust the messages coming through. Not only could I clearly see past lives through the Akashic Records, I could also see how past life trauma was creating present-day obstacles and hidden suffering, and how I could help heal it. I found that inviting my clients’ guides to show me how to put the pieces together led to deep, lasting healing sessions.
Alongside past life visions, I discovered I could communicate with the dearly departed, which, happily, also meant no more poltergeists for me. One of my favorite examples: I had a session with a client in Canada, and the moment I opened her records, I kept hearing the word “Bear.” She confirmed that her late ex-husband had lovingly called her Bear. He had taken his own life years earlier, and she had been unable to move forward. He came through with profound love, an apology, and a promise — that he would bring new love into her life, someone she already knew, and that it would happen very soon. He wanted her to live and love again. Two months later, she messaged me. She was absolutely over the moon, in exactly the kind of love he had described, with exactly who he said it would be.
Over the years I’ve also discovered that my energy body physically takes on my clients’ energy, I can feel in my own body where their pain is, where energy is blocked, and what direction is most aligned with their path. This allows me to offer not just guidance, but genuine healing.
It’s been 15 years since I started offering sessions. I feel such ecstatic joy knowing I get to be a channel for healing and guidance that truly helps people move into alignment, all because a bunch of pesky ghosts refused to leave me alone until I finally listened.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have struggled on this path. I have stood in my own way out of fear of being seen as different and not being able to fit in. I was always afraid of what people would think, and for good reason, I lost friendships and relationships because they could not accept me. I have been called crazy, I have been called a liar, and I have been told on numerous occasions that I think the work I am doing is real, but it’s not, despite evidence that backs up my work.
I spent most of my life feeling like the black sheep in my family, feeling like I needed to hide this side of myself, this internal knowingness that is the biggest part of who I am. I have been made to feel small and told that I “need to live in the real world”.
This fear was instilled in me, this need to hide; it was forced upon me by a world that did not understand me and practioners like me, and that has stopped me from showing up and living my purpose.
The world needs to understand how powerful, gentle, and loving energy healing is, how very real and transformative it is. If I can’t reach people who need me because I am in hiding, they will never know what I have to offer. I need to be able to allow myself to be seen, to post on social media and share stories on TikTok, I haven’t been able to do it; my fear of judgment and my own discomfort about being seen has stopped me every time.
I would love to let that all go so I can live my truth and be of service. I struggle because I am supposed to do this work, it is my life’s purpose, it is the most valuable part of me that I have to offer the world. The irony is, I help other people to find their purpose and live transformative lives, and yet, I am still invisible, due to my own internal struggle, to the world that needs my magic to be seen.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an Akashic Records practitioner, intuitive channel, energy healer, and spiritual coach. I have been doing this work for over 15 years.
At its core, what I do is serve as a conduit. When I open a session, I step aside and let spirit move through me, connecting with a client’s guides, loved ones, ancestors, and angels to deliver whatever information is most needed for their highest good. And I truly mean whatever, I never know what’s going to come through. Sometimes it’s deeply esoteric: past lives, soul contracts, cosmic-level information about who someone is at their core. Other times it’s more practical: career decisions, relationship clarity, where to move, what to release. I am not limited by the dimension of the information. My job is simply to receive it and share it with love.
One thing that sets me apart is that all of my sessions are done over the phone. I prefer not to see my clients before or during a session. That way I have no visual cues, no preconceived ideas about who they are based on how they present themselves. Everything comes directly from Source. That phone line creates an unbroken, pure channel.
What am I most proud of? It’s the range of what comes through. I’ve had clients come to me with chronic physical pain and walk away transformed. I’ve connected parents with the spirit of their unborn babies. I’ve helped people release relationships they’d been holding onto for years. I’ve seen past lives surface that explained patterns someone had been living with their entire current life without understanding why. The breadth from the mundane to the galactic is something I hold with a lot of gratitude.
I am known for being kind, warm, and unconditionally loving in session. The version of me that shows up when I open the records is very different from my everyday self; I step out of the way and let something much larger come through. People often tell me they feel truly seen, heard, and held in a sacred space. That they can feel the energy moving through them. They tell me they feel lighter, joyful, and filled with hope. That means everything to me, especially when I get to see the aftermath of how the information has transformed their lives for the better.
My deepest belief is that it is all of our jobs to be here for each other, that we are all here to help each other lovingly and gracefully get through life, living as joyfully in alignment and on our path as we are meant to do. We are not alone, each life informs the next, we are all connected and when one person finds alignment it raises the vibration within the whole field. It is my job to be a wayshower, ushering people towards their inner light and life purpose. We are all meant to live with the empathy of seeing the other as self. As Ram Dass said, “We’re all just walking each other home.” That’s what Inner Alchemy with Michelle is: a lantern on that path, helping you walk toward yourself.
How do you define success?
Success is my clients telling me they feel lighter, happier, and filled with hope. When they report back to me that the information they received in their reading came to pass. I have had clients move to Europe, move across state lines, move to another city, change careers, identify and mitigate health risks, celebrate pregnancies, heal relationships, connect with loved ones on the other side, and so much more. I had a client recently who decided to play back his session on a long drive, he was so moved by what had come to fruition since his session that he found himself crying in the car. I had another client write to me from Canada to let me know that for the first time in years, she was able to run again. I had a client devastated by the loss of a newborn baby who then became pregnant exactly when I said she would. I have cried with my clients, laughed with my clients, and celebrated life wins with them. It warms my heart beyond measure to bear witness to such joy, transformation, and healing.
