Today we’d like to introduce you to Penny Stone.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Penny The Animal Whisperer, and my work with animals has been a lifelong journey rooted in care, curiosity, and deep respect. I became the family pet caretaker at around six years old, and that early bond with animals naturally led to my first professional role as a veterinary assistant in 1969. From there, my path continued entirely within animal-centered work. In 1980, I graduated from Merideth Manor International School of Horsemanship, beginning an equestrian chapter that continues to this day through riding instruction, training, equine bodywork telepathic communication and hands-on care.
As my professional journey evolved, so did my dedication to understanding animals on a deeper, more meaningful level. Through ongoing education, research, and hands-on experience, my focus naturally expanded to include gentle bodywork and telepathic animal communication. I achieved certification as a TTEAM Practitioner in 1992 and have since worked extensively with dogs, cats, horses, and exotic pets, with only brief interruptions. Today, I provide comprehensive pet wellbeing services both in person throughout the Texas Hill Country and remotely worldwide. My approach is rooted in holistic animal well being, supporting the emotional and physical health of animals while empowering their owners to foster stronger, more harmonious relationships.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the early days, the holistic approach to connecting with animals and encouraging their well being through knowledge, understanding, kindness and compassion, was considered to be very “fringe” and many people thought that my work was like voodoo.
As more people began to understand that animals are conscious beings and have thoughts, emotions, and physical and mental pain the acceptance of methods outside of the traditional began to be more widespread. These days hardly anyone thinks that I am a “witch” or a “whack job” .
Learning to be a reliable telepathic animal communicator has been a challenge. I had to open my self to believe that the flashes of insight I had received from animals since child hood were meaningful and begin a new way of thinking at an age when most are pretty set in their beliefs.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in creating two way, mutually rewarding relationships between people and the animals in their lives. I guide people through conscious behavior change and habits that elevate their relationships with animals. From this, most unwanted behaviors just dissolve. I think I’m known for helping people find new ways to interact with their animals that are safe and give them joyful connection with their animals.
I am most proud of changing the viewpoint, and thus the interactions with animals, of the people who experience my teaching, guidance and communication skills.
What really sets me apart from other animal communicators is my broad direct knowledge of many types of animals due to my many different animal professions over the years. What really sets me apart from other “trainers” and pet service providers is my holistic approach, including bodywork and telepathic communication, which addresses the underlying issues of unhappy relationships between animals and their people.

Animals have become ever more important in our lives as social media and jobs that put us out of touch with each other leave us feeling disconnected. The evolution of our understanding of animals has opened the door to a deeper connection with animals which can be created and nurtured through this type of guidance and attention to them as conscious beings.
