Exploring Life & Business with Ashton Davis of M.V.O.X.A

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashton Davis.

Hi Ashton, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I grew up under two separate households, I primarily lived with my mother, stepfather and younger sister and every other weekend I would live with my father, his wife and my six brothers. After high school, I decided to the join active duty Navy where I had the opportunity to travel the world, experience many different cultures and lead many different people ranging from all ages and backgrounds. It was in the navy as a recruiter in San Antonio, Texas when I realized I wanted to become an entrepreneur. I fell in love with the everyday is different concept and you have to get after it every single day. That constant fire behind you drives me to do better at everything I do. I decided I wanted to start with some small businesses outside the navy, so I joined many different affiliate programs under major businesses. They were easier to manage with me moving around so much and deploying very often but being an affiliate under someone else’s business no matter the possibility of growth the self-satisfaction wasn’t there for me. Around my 5 and 6 years in the navy, I went through a life-changing time. I lost both of my parents tragically a year apart due to both being killed by their spouses. I was also blessed with becoming a father with my first child.

With all of this, I had to deal with and more this became the real start to the pursuing of more. I decided I had to give up the navy once I recovered emotionally, financially and spiritually this period took me another five years. Once I was ready to give up the Navy, I was now responsible for two kids, my daughter and son so the fear of becoming a full-time entrepreneur was higher than ever but with having a strong supportive mother of my kids, I knew the transition will not be that difficult once I start. So I decided to end my career with the navy just shy of my 12 years mark, I went active in my first major business of M.V.O.X.A LLC which stands for millionaire views only exclusive (appareal). I purposely spelled apparel wrong to separate me a little. I chose this name because the potential of growth with all the endeavors I plan to do in the next ten years I can house it under one vision and name. The MVO (MILLIONAIRE VIEWS ONLY) is important to me because we are in a time where everyone wants more than the generation before them. This has become my life’s mission of making sure I set a tone for the next five generations so building mental and physical wealth is what MVO is all about. MVO has now been active for two solid months and growing at a perfect rate. I still have so much to learn but I am very eager to see where I will be next year and even more eager to see where I will be in the next ten years with everything I have planned for myself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a full-time entrepreneur now is smooth because of all of the obstacles and challenges I faced for the past five years. The loss of my parents was the first challenge. That brought many different emotions that I never had to face. The second was I am a father to two kids, so my decision-making isn’t just going to impact me but now them as well, so I had to become more strategic with my moves. The rest of my obstacles came from the navy. The deployment had my separation anxiety at an all-time high, so focus was all over the place. Collusion of trying to live two lives was also major. In the navy, you are taught to respect rank but when you are building yourself to become an entrepreneur, any ineffective methods you come across you tend to want to change in the military this will cause you to bump heads with your superiors. Luckily for me, I built alot of trust with my superiors that after talking to them they usually went with my method of achieving whatever goal we had to. All of this along with minor obstacles of money, time and self-discipline challenges they have made me resilient that now being a full-time entrepreneur just about anything I expect and what I don’t, I learned to quickly adapt to and correct.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
M.V.O.X.A LLC is a clothing brand that specializes in the fusion of luxury and streetwear. The MVO stands for Millionaire Views Only. Our mission is to change the way people view that statement. Most people think money when they see millionaire we want to guide our audience to the mental side of the way millionaires think, the constant pursuit of achieving your best self, the waking up everyday with goals and plans in mind to accomplish just the constant wanting of being successful in everything you do. I am proud of this business name and mission because while searching for what best defines my vision, MVO embodies all of that definition.

Any big plans?
My plan with M.V.O.X.A is to become one of the top recognized brands. With the next year or two, I will be operating out of a full warehouse with a supportive team who are just as eager to grow as I am. I also will spread the MVO name around to other business ventures like real estates investing, real estate management, and a stock trading company. Which all will have supportive teams to help me grow those companies.
