Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Munoz.

Hi Brianna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Brianna Muñoz, an Austin-based aesthetician and beauty educator. I live in South Austin, and my studio is located in South Park Meadows.

My journey into the beauty industry began in December 2019, while I was a full-time student at The University of Texas at Austin, where I was majoring in kinesiology with plans to become a physical therapist. At the time, I enrolled in an eyelash extension certification course simply out of curiosity and a genuine interest in the artistry behind it. What started as a small side hustle—servicing friends and family to make extra money during college—quickly grew into something much more meaningful.

As I began completing my shadowing hours for physical therapy, I realized my passion wasn’t there. Instead, I found myself deeply inspired by the confidence and self-expression my clients experienced through beauty services. That realization pushed me to pivot. I shifted my focus toward entrepreneurship and broadened my perspective on wellness—embracing not just physical health, but also mental health, self-image, and self-care.

After graduating, I further invested in my craft by earning my aesthetician license from Melluzi Academy here in Austin. From there, I expanded my services to include eyelash extensions, lash lifts, brow laminations, brow shapings, microblading, and lip blushing—specializing in all things lashes and brows.

In September, I opened my own studio in Austin, creating a space where clients can feel confident, cared for, and empowered. In addition to running my business, I’m also an aesthetician instructor at the same academy where I trained, where I now teach future artists the skills and techniques behind lashes and brows.

What began as a side hustle has grown into a career rooted in creativity, connection, and helping others feel their best—and I’m just getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. The biggest challenge for me was learning how to run a business beyond just providing the service. Navigating the legal side—setting up an LLC, understanding business insurance, and making sure everything was structured correctly—was something I had to figure out largely on my own, and it came with a steep learning curve.

There were also moments of uncertainty in the beginning, like building a consistent clientele and trusting that I could turn what started as a side hustle into a full-time career. That required a lot of discipline, patience, and confidence in myself.

That being said, once I committed fully, things began to align. Opportunities started to come my way, and I found my rhythm as both an artist and a business owner. Looking back, the challenges were necessary—they pushed me to grow and confirmed that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is centered around enhancing natural beauty while creating an experience that goes beyond just the service itself. I specialize in eyelash extensions, lash lifts, brow laminations, custom brow shaping, as well as permanent makeup—offering customized, detail-oriented results that complement each client’s unique features.

What sets me apart is my approach. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all look. Every client who comes into my studio receives a personalized consultation, where I take into account their lifestyle, preferences, and natural features to create something that feels effortless and elevated. My goal is for my clients to feel like the best version of themselves—never overdone, always confident.

I’m also deeply passionate about education. In addition to running my studio, I’m an instructor at Melluzi Academy, where I teach aspiring artists the techniques and fundamentals behind lashes and brows. Being able to mentor others and contribute to the next generation of beauty professionals is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the environment I’ve created. My studio is a space where clients can relax, feel cared for, and leave not just looking better, but feeling better. I’ve built my brand around trust, consistency, and quality—making sure every client has a luxury experience from start to finish.

I want readers to know that my business is about more than beauty services—it’s about confidence, self-care, and empowerment. Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would say intentionality has been the most important quality behind my success. From the beginning, I’ve been very intentional about the experience I create for my clients, the quality of my work, and the way I’ve built my brand.

I pay close attention to detail and truly listen to my clients so I can deliver results that feel personalized and aligned with them. That level of care builds trust, and trust is what turns first-time clients into long-term relationships.

I’ve also been intentional about my growth—continuing my education, refining my skills, and stepping into opportunities like teaching at Melluzi Academy. I don’t just want to be good at what I do; I want to consistently evolve.

That combination of intention, consistency, and genuine care for people is what I believe has made the biggest difference in my journey.
