Exploring Life & Business with Daisy De La Cruz of Tidy.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisy De La Cruz.

Daisy , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Tidy began from a simple observation: the condition of our homes shapes our families’ everyday experience.

As a wife and homeschooling mom of three, I’ve experienced firsthand—and seen in so many other moms—that we aren’t struggling because we lack motivation. We’re simply overwhelmed, both mentally and by the spaces we’re trying to manage.

That’s why I started Tidy. My mission is to help moms cultivate homes where Christ is honored, peace is felt, and children can flourish.

And honestly, it blesses me too. It gives me an opportunity to step outside my own home once a week and do something I genuinely love.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I guess that depends on how you define “smooth.” 😊 I’m no stranger to starting small businesses, so I expected there to be ebbs and flows along the way.

Overall, though, it’s been a pretty smooth start. I think that’s a combination of doing something I’m genuinely passionate about, having experience working with families, and serving a niche that’s in demand. There aren’t many businesses that focus specifically on playroom organization, so it’s been exciting to help families create spaces that are both functional and peaceful.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Tidy exists to help moms cultivate homes where Christ is honored, peace is felt, and children can flourish.

I specialize in playroom organization because I believe children’s spaces shape the rhythm of family life. I thoughtfully curate each playroom around the child’s interests and stage of development, creating peaceful, functional spaces that encourage independence, creativity, and a sense of belonging.

I’m also building Tidy Minds, the discipleship side of the brand, to encourage moms as they cultivate peaceful hearts alongside peaceful homes. I believe creating space for calm starts on the inside.

More than anything, I want people to know that Tidy isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating space for what matters most.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I’ve found that the best networking happens naturally when you’re faithfully serving where God has planted you. Some of my greatest mentors and opportunities have come through church, small groups, and simply building genuine relationships over time. I’ve also been blessed to know business owners who keep God at the center of everything they do. Watching them lead with integrity, humility, and purpose inspired me to lean on them for guidance and learn from their example.

My advice is to look for mentors whose character you admire just as much as their accomplishments. Invite them out for coffee and come prepared with thoughtful questions that lead to meaningful conversation. Skills can be learned, but wisdom and integrity are invaluable.
