Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan & Ebony Perez & Rios
Hi Jordan & Ebony, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started with a compliment in the summer of 2022. Jordan and Ebony met at a local rooftop pool in Atlanta, Georgia, where they became friends almost instantly. After years of monthly dinners and getting to know each other, Jordan and Ebony decided to partner together to launch a new jewelry brand, Mixed Metals.
Jordan, who was a few months away from graduating from Georgia Tech already has an existing brand, Luxe which started in 2021, decided to evolve the brand and bring on Ebony who has many years experience in social media advertising, marketing, and sales. Together, they were the quintessential duo who would take the jewelry industry by storm.
In 2023, they rebranded to Mixed Metals – using a play on words with jewelry but also describing their backgrounds. Jordan, Mexican and European decent, Ebony, Puerto Rican, European and Black – they felt this name was perfect for their brand.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
From their decision in 2023, marking the creation of Mixed Metals they immediately got to work with the rebrand. They finalized the name change, drew up contracts, and revamped the website. In the next few months they spent long days and nights gathering new brand details from colors, fonts to brand message and style. They gathered their friends shortly after to host a photoshoot highlighting their rebrand and it was a huge success.
In a few short months, they completely revamped the website with custom codes, implemented all of the pixel data, and worked with top skilled engineers who would get the website in tip top shape and doing competitive research.
Ebony, who was recently moving to Austin was relocated due to her TikTok sales role had broken the news to Jordan and they wondered how they would run a business living in two different cities.
Being the optimistic duo that they were, they saw this as an opportunity to grow the brand presence in two major cities in the US. Ebony would start to grow the brand in Austin while Jordan would continue to nurture it in Atlanta.

Our product stands out because of its durability, everything is made to last years and has a warranty to guarantee the quality we promise.
We are most proud of being a brand where women can be themselves, accessorize to the nines and know they can trust the product.
In the future, we will grow a men’s collection and expand into fine jewelry such as real diamonds and offer an even more wide range of products.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk is necessary for growth and success – period.
There is a difference in taking unnecessary risks to grow and throwing things at a wall in hopes of it working,
One thing we know for sure is that we offer an exceptional product, when you know what you’re offering there is no amount of negativity or burden that can deter you from the ultimate goal which is self growth and financial independence.
We have taken risks such as getting out loans, racking up debt, using our own personal finances to fuel our business. When you are an entrepreneur, you are naturally a risk taker but it also takes a lot of self control and discipline to continue to grow yourself. Your business is only as successful as your lessons and risks you are willing to take.
