Exploring Life & Business with Kynzie Johnson of Ritzy Rexann

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kynzie Johnson.

Kynzie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up, my mom owned a small business creating bows for little girls called Ritzy Rexann. From an early age, I was surrounded by creativity and entrepreneurship, and I think that planted the seed for what would eventually become my own dream. As I got older, I fell in love with all things western fashion. I’ve always enjoyed styling outfits in a way that feels unique and bringing pieces to life in a way that stands out.

About a year ago, that dream really started becoming a reality. Being born and raised in Dripping Springs, I knew I wanted to bring my personal style and vision back to my hometown. I noticed there really weren’t many options for women like me women who live the western lifestyle but still want fashion that feels elevated, stylish, and different from what’s traditionally available.

That’s exactly what Ritzy Rexann is about. We’re for women who love the western world but feel like western fashion can sometimes feel repetitive or uninspired. We wanted to create something for the woman who works hard, spends her days in boots and denim, but still wants to clean up at the end of the day and wear something that feels bold, fashionable, and elevated. At the heart of it all, we believe western fashion doesn’t have to be ordinary.

But beyond fashion, at Ritzy Rexann, we’ve worked hard to create a place that truly has a little something for everyone. Whether you’re shopping for yourself, your kids, your husband, a friend, or a coworker, we want people to know they can walk through our doors and find something special. From birthdays and anniversaries to holidays or even those “just because” moments, we carry pieces and gifts that can fit so many different styles and occasions.

More than anything, we want Ritzy Rexann to feel like a place where everyone can find something they connect with because style should feel personal, and shopping should feel inspiring.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Getting here has come with a lot of challenges and moments where things didn’t go as planned. We originally had a completely different location picked out, and unfortunately that fell through just a few weeks before we were supposed to open our doors. At the time, it felt like a huge setback after putting so much work into preparing for that space.

But looking back now, I truly believe everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to. Finding our home in everyone’s favorite old honky tonk here in Dripping Springs ended up being even better than we could have imagined. Since opening there, the support from the community has been incredible, and we’ve felt so embraced from day one.

It’s been a reminder that sometimes the hardest parts of the journey end up leading you exactly where you were meant to be.

As you know, we’re big fans of Ritzy Rexann . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
What makes Ritzy Rexann different is that every single piece in the store has been intentionally handpicked by me. I take a lot of pride in carefully curating collections that truly offer a little something for everyone, rather than fitting into just one specific style or customer.

While we are deeply rooted in western fashion, shopping at Ritzy Rexann doesn’t mean you have to live on a ranch or spend your days on horseback to find something you love. I’ve created a space where all kinds of styles can coexist. We carry very feminine, girly pieces, more classic and masculine styles, and everything in between. I have pieces for the girls who love bold statement outfits covered in sequins, and I have options for the girls who prefer something simple, timeless, and understated.

One thing that makes us especially unique is my own personally designed collection, the Ritzy line. This is something I’ve poured a lot of creativity into — I take vintage textiles like old tablecloths, napkins, drapery, and quilts, and transform them into completely new one-of-a-kind wearable pieces. I love taking something with history and giving it new life in a way that feels modern, stylish, and completely original.

More than anything, I think what makes us stand out is that we’ve created a store where people don’t feel boxed into one style. Whether you love dressing up, keeping things simple, leaning western, or trying something completely different, there is truly something here for everyone.
