Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Lee.
Hi Lisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
During college, I worked on the Las Vegas Strip as a front desk agent at Caesars Palace. I was mesmerized by the history of the resort! I got to tour all of the suites and penthouses, even the famed ‘Rain Man’ Suite, known for its feature in the movie Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. I continued my career in hospitality for the next decade, opening top-tier nightclubs and lounges in excellent casinos and five-star resorts. I worked through all positions and ranks, from cocktail server to bartender VIP host to management. At the Wynn and Encore, my love for the glitz and glam came alive! I also learned so many life lessons alongside people I still admire, innovators and sharp business minds. 2012, I started my business, first testing the waters between personal (wardrobe) styling and interior decorating. I quickly learned that I loved the latter. My clientele quickly grew from friends and family to casino executives and VIP customers from my hospitality days. It was an easy transition because of everything I learned working at the finest resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. I am amazed at the excitement I still get when starting a new project; it feels like the first time every time! I am grateful for how I’ve been able to grow a business and a team, and all the while, I get to serve amazing clientele. The business has run on referrals since day one, and my favorite part is that I get to work with people I truly love, people from my hospitality days. It feels like a full-circle moment.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Not at all; it’s been one of the bumpiest roads I’ve ever taken! Lol, but I wouldn’t change the course ever. Managing people’s expectations can be challenging, whether from the team, our extended team (contractors, architects, vendors, etc.), clients, or even my own. Communication is key; luckily, I learned that from my previous career.
As you know, we’re big fans of Rituals. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
We are a Creative Studio specializing in interiors, styling, and all things design. We’ve worked on residential, commercial, hospitality, and even television projects. We’ve worked locally and beyond. We always have projects we are working on from afar, even before COVID. Simply put, we create spaces that people love! Today, most of our projects are restaurants, lounges, and nightclubs, with the occasional multi-family unit or custom home. We’ve created a firm rooted in hospitality, which is mirrored back by the amount of repeat business we have. I am grateful to our clients who have helped us build our business to what it is today! We have been lucky to have worked with high-profile clientele, from top executives at multiple Las Vegas resorts to CEOs, business owners, thought leaders, creative directors, and even professional athletes. Our team is spread across the US, and everyone has a unique perspective. I love the collaboration process between our team and extended team and with our clients. I never knew this would be one of my favorite parts of this business, but it has become something I look forward to. Our entire team, even our COO, has touched every project we work on!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I am finding a perfectly intact dandelion puff and blowing on it to make all my wishes come true!
