Exploring Life & Business with Renee Lacey of WithGoodVibez, LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Lacey.

Hi Renee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I can start this story a few different ways, but to keep it brief, it all began with one simple realization: I didn’t need anyone’s permission to build something. If I had an idea, I could start a business from complete scratch and see where it could go.

The idea for WGV came while I was lying in bed stressing about classes and thinking about how I could turn side gigs and hobbies into something bigger. At the time, I didn’t know exactly what the business would become—I just knew I wanted to create something of my own.

As I finished my bachelor’s degree in Biology, I realized that although I respected careers like dentistry and medicine, the traditional path wasn’t where I wanted to make my impact. Instead, I pursued my MBA, where I learned that earning a degree doesn’t automatically make someone a leader or build a meaningful brand. That realization pushed me to study leadership, community engagement, and how to earn people’s trust rather than simply asking for it.

Over the past several years, I’ve built genuine relationships with artists, entrepreneurs, veterans, local businesses, and community leaders throughout Texas. The people who choose to work with me do so because they know I genuinely care about them, their brand, and the people they serve. That trust has become the foundation of everything I do.

Eventually, I realized I wasn’t building just one business—I was building an ecosystem. WGV isn’t centered around a single product or service. It’s about creating opportunities, connecting people, promoting great work, and helping others grow alongside me. Every partnership and every project contributes to something bigger.

Texas has always been home, and one of my favorite things about this state is that every community has something unique to offer. I’m proud to be an entrepreneur and I’m grateful for everyone who has supported WGV along the way. My goal is to continue building meaningful partnerships that strengthen our communities while creating opportunities for others to succeed. Looking back, I realize the business has evolved just as much as I have. What started as an idea has become something much bigger than I imagined, and I’m excited to keep building it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest obstacle in solopreneurship is self-doubt. It’s one thing when others doubt you, but it’s another monster when an artist or entrepreneur begins to doubt themselves. You quickly learn that you can never please everyone, no matter how hard you work.

One of my biggest challenges was figuring out what WGV was actually meant to become. I explored different ventures and industries before realizing I wasn’t building a traditional single-service business. I was building an ecosystem centered around relationships, partnerships, and creating opportunities for others.

Building that kind of trust takes time. Over the years, I’ve focused on showing up consistently for local businesses, artists, veterans, nonprofits, and community organizations. Those genuine relationships have become one of WGV’s greatest strengths.

Every challenge has reinforced the same lesson: believe in the vision, stay adaptable, and keep moving forward—even when the path isn’t obvious. Success isn’t about having every answer from the beginning; it’s about continuing to grow while staying true to your purpose.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about WithGoodVibez, LLC.?
WithGoodVibez, LLC. is a creative lifestyle brand that gives me the freedom to build, create, and grow across multiple industries without limiting myself to one path. Rather than focusing on a single product or service, WGV brings together my creative skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and passion for innovation under one brand.

One thing that sets WGV apart is that I refuse to put myself inside one box. I don’t believe entrepreneurs should have to choose between being an artist, a business owner, an educator, or a creator. I built WGV so I could embrace all of those roles under one brand while continually expanding into new opportunities.

Today, WGV includes creative products, handmade goods, artwork, tattooing, community events and creative collaborations that continue to evolve as I learn new skills and discover new opportunities. Every offering reflects my commitment to quality, originality, and creating something that people genuinely enjoy.

What I’m most proud of isn’t any one product—it’s the trust behind the brand. Many of my customers and collaborators have followed my journey across different stages because they know I’ll continue learning, improving my craft, and showing up with authenticity. WGV has never been about standing still; it’s about proving that curiosity, creativity, and adaptability can all exist within one business.

I hope readers see WGV as more than just another small business. I hope they see a brand that’s always evolving—one that encourages people to pursue their ideas, embrace their creativity, and realize they don’t have to fit into someone else’s definition of success.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I don’t think I was ever someone who fit neatly into one category. I’ve always had a lot of interests and liked learning new things, which is probably why my career has taken such an unconventional path. Curiosity has always been one of my biggest strengths. Whether it was science, art, business, or creating something with my hands, I wanted to understand it and see if I could do it myself. That mindset has followed me into adulthood and ultimately became the foundation of WGV.
