Exploring Life & Business with Rochelle of Stunning Recovery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rochelle.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey really started during COVID, which makes this story even more meaningful to me. It was such an uncertain time, and nobody really knew what was going to happen next. Meanwhile, I was just beginning to build something of my own.

I started in body sculpting and I was learning the business side as I went. I knew I loved helping women feel confident in their bodies, but I had no idea at the time how much this industry would grow or where it would eventually take me. I continued educating myself, gaining hands-on experience, and eventually expanded more into post-op care. .

Over the years, my business evolved into providing mobile post-op services, where I travel directly to my clients and help care for them during one of the most vulnerable parts of their recovery. Being able to make women feel comfortable, supported, and cared for in their own homes became something I really loved. I’ve also had the opportunity to train and mentor other women who wanted to get into the body-sculpting industry, which has been another rewarding part of my journey.

A huge reason I am where I am today is because I never gave up. Every business has slow seasons, and I never allowed a slow season to make me believe it was time to quit. Instead, it taught me how to get creative and really tap into my marketing skills. I learned how to promote myself, connect with people, use social media, and constantly find new ways to keep my business visible. Sometimes being an entrepreneur means realizing that when the phone isn’t ringing, you don’t just sit around waiting for it to ring—you figure out how to make it ring.

Building a business definitely hasn’t been a straight line for me. I’m a mom, an entrepreneur, I work in taxes, and I’ve got a whole lot going on. Some days I’m on top of everything, and other days I’m just figuring it out as I go. I’ve had to learn how to balance a lot of different roles while continuing to grow. There have been long days, setbacks, lessons, and plenty of trial and error, but every season has helped shape the woman and business owner I am today.

One thing about me is that I’ve never been afraid to evolve. What started during one of the most uncertain times in the world turned into something that opened doors I never expected. Today, I’m continuing to grow my post-op business while also building my career in tax preparation and stepping into leadership and mentorship roles. I’m still learning, still evolving, and still building—and I think that’s one of my favorite parts of my story. I didn’t have everything figured out when I started. I simply started, stayed consistent, and kept going.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I mean, we all start with zero clients, right? When I first started, I had to figure everything out for myself. I’m self-taught when it comes to a lot of the marketing side of my business. I had to learn how to use Facebook ads, how to put myself out there, how to get people to notice me, and honestly just learn how to think outside the box and get creative & do free services to get practice.

And then there’s the part of getting people to trust you, especially when you’re going into someone’s home. I think that part came pretty naturally to me because I’m a very friendly person. I can talk to different types of people, and I feel like my personality, my energy, and the way I communicate with people really helped me build that trust.

But personally, I was going through a lot at the same time. I was in a toxic relationship and eventually I had to leave and literally start over. I stayed with my mom for a little while, got myself together, got my own home, and was trying to rebuild my life while still being a mom and trying to grow my business.

And I think one of the hardest things was I still had to show up for my clients, still be a mom, still handle my responsibilities, and make it look like everything was okay even when I had a lot going on behind the scenes.

So no, it definitely wasn’t easy. But I think those struggles taught me how to be resourceful, how to keep going, and how to figure things out even when nobody is handing you the answers. A lot of what I have today came from just being willing to learn, think outside the box, and not give up.

As you know, we’re big fans of Stunning Recovery. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
When I think about my brand, the first thing that comes to mind is PINK. 😂 I literally wrapped my car pink! My brand is very girly, very “for the girls,” but at the same time, I want people to know that there’s a real business behind the pink.

I specialize in post-op recovery and lymphatic drainage, especially helping women after cosmetic surgery. I help with things like swelling, bruising, discomfort, and getting their bodies back on track during the healing process. I also offer body sculpting and teach others how to get into the industry through hands-on training.

I’ve gotten to the point where I’m traveling with my clients to surrounding cities and even to Mexico when they’re getting their procedures done. I’m very hands-on, and I genuinely care about my clients beyond just the appointment. If I’m in someone’s home and they need help with something, I’m going to help them. Whether it’s helping them get comfortable, assisting with their garments, helping them get situated, or just being there for them when they’re overwhelmed, I go the extra mile. I think that’s a big part of why my clients trust me so much.
