Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Bonner.
Hi Tara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

Through recent life turns, I find myself here with you in this supportive space of Heart Seed Healing. I was fortunate enough, several years back, to receive a message from my grandmother and a friend at an event with world renowned psychic medium, John Edward. This was a huge turning point in itself. It gave me the KNOWING that there really is more to THIS life and that our love is genuinely eternal. During this same reading, John unexpectedly told me that I would be doing a form of energy work, similar to Reiki, in the years to come. At the time, I honestly had to go home and look up the definition. I was sure the message was for someone else next to or around me. The joke was on me because here you are and I am a trained Reiki Master, now practicing my own approach to energy healing. As for me being a psychic medium, that was a surprise as well. The more I learned to give into my intuition, the more it has gifted me. It’s an absolute honor and FUN to be able to connect people to their passed loved ones.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
During March of 2020, right when the pandemic hit Austin, I was told I needed major brain surgery. At the time, I was still working a corporate job and had to take several months off to slowly work towards recovery.
At my annual check up, I was told that I most likely would not have much improvement. This was devastating, because I had such LOW physical & mental energy still. I had to take multiple naps a day and was treated with stimulants to make it through anything that took brain power. For the most part, I had the support of my team and boss, but the struggle was real & exhausting. The doctor visit turned out to be a catalyst for me changing other things regarding my physical and mental health. I cleaned up my diet, stopped drinking, invited in more physical movement, and began seeing a therapist.
I was not practicing Reiki or using any of my spiritual inclinations at the time, but I had the pull to put more focus on it. For Christmas in 2021, I gifted myself a virtual “Intuition class” and started learning how to grow and tap into my metaphysical gifts. At the same time, my spouse and I separated after 15 years. I had to sell my home and move in with friends, along with my cat and dog. I was still dealing with migraines and other physical recovery, but will forever be grateful that I had a secure place to land.
During this life transition, I picked up my practice of tarot/oracle card readings for personal use. Something that I had learned in the late 1990’s and had set a side.
I was still taking my virtual classes and realized that I had real mediumship skills. Through a few class practices/ exercises, I found myself connecting other students to passed loved ones. Although, I had had a session with a medium, years prior that said I would be doing some mediumship in the future, it was not something that I believed I had the capabilities to do. Along with surprising myself, I can say that most of my friends and family were also surprised.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The name “Heart Seed Healing” came to me during a meditation in one of my Reiki training classes around 2017. At the time, I had no clue what it was or how I would apply it, but I could feel it was “important”. Several years later, when I realized that I wanted to start sharing my healing sessions, mediumship, and card readings with others, there was my business name, already set aside for me.
I see clients both virtually and in my office, offering mediumship, energy work, and card readings. My “Energy Sessions” are my favorite offering, because they tend to include mediumship, energy work, an psychic information for my clients. I have learned that all mediums are psychic, but not all psychics are mediums. Meaning, all “psychic mediums” are able to connect with passed loved ones and generally can also receive information about past, current, and future information. I tend to get very specific psychic information during these sessions. I have predicted everything from gas leaks, job changes, children, and home purchases.
A big thing that sets me apart from other Reiki practitioners, is that I also include the mediumship and psychic information in my energy sessions. Although, I am technically a Reiki Master, that is where I got my foundation, my energy work has evolved and is a bit different. I work with my spiritual guides to connect with my client and help clear and reenergize their chakras, or energy points,
I offer mediumship for all sized groups and occasionally host public events, where I offer demonstrations.
I also offer tarot & oracle card readings publicly, most weeks in the Central Texas area. You can find locations where I am reading cards via my Instagram & Facebook accounts.
Although this is only my fourth year in business, I have been a finalist in the category “Best Psychic & Tarot” in the Austin Chronicle the past three years.
