Today we’d like to introduce you to Viktoriia Zghryvets
Hi Viktoriia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story of becoming a part of beauty industry began 8 years ago in beautiful city of Ukraine, Odesa.
I have become a make up artist, got to know the brands of makeup, practice, understood and found out my own ways, techniques and secrets of makeup. Meanwhile I was warking with different photographers, models and photoshoots and it was a great experience!
I always kept learning and became a hairstylist (the one who just style the hair for events).
And in “covid times “ the life brought me to Austin, Tx, USA…the time when nobody would need a make up artist because people didn’t go out, gather together or couldn’t make an event and look pretty for it. So after this an idea came to my mind to study permanent makeup. And that’s how I found Maya Zarova school in Houston. And from here my “always studying “ journey began. And I am still in this “journey”. I had always liked to paint and create art. This year I have become a tattoo artist and my dream of drawing art on people’s skin has become a reality…and it’s not the last destination. The sphere of permanent makeup up is great , interesting and there’s always room for improvement..
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road of studying and learning something new is never smooth, I think.
And I guess these challenges make it more interesting. Im a big perfectionist and I take a great responsibility on what I do. Because the result of my work is how a person will look like, will feel like and it will creat a great mood or destroy it. I happy when people smile and shine after my work is done! Their energy and beauty is making my day!
As you know, we’re big fans of Vi Makeup & PMU. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Im the owner of “Vi Make Up & PMU”. By now it’s just me in my business, but Im sure it will grow to something big and beautiful.
I do makeup for events, weddings and etc. I also do creative makeup up for photography and I love working in this specific sphere.
I also do permanent makeup- lip blush, eyeliner and powder eyebrows. This is an amazing procedure which will emphasise your beauty, save your time in the morning, save you money for actual makeup up and make up products. The procedure takes like 2,5 hours and then you have your “waterproof” lipstick for like 1,5-2 hours.
It’s also a great way out to a person who has asymmetric eyebrows, or little brow hair.
The new pmu techniques are no-traumatic.
I work only with the best licensed pigments and products .
I also do mini tattoos and “water color tattoos “. This is what I really passion about- a tattoo with a meaning, something that will be beautiful and dear to a client.
What are your plans for the future?
I have a lot of bug plans. As I have mentioned earlier- this beauty sphere is so big and there’s always something new, there is always something to learn, improve and create.
From having my own big studio to teaching others. Sharing beauty and making others gorgeous .
