Hi Dr Syreeta, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I literally built everything I have from the ground up! I switched careers from banking and retail to tech and pursued my PMP, completed my bachelor’s in fashion management, my MBA in project management and started working in tech. All throughout my career pivot into tech, I rebranded my fashion business to a sustainable model.
During this period, I actually moved overseas to Dubai and worked on my lifestyle blog also while working in tech, and that’s when I started my doctorate degree in business focusing on international project strategies.
Once my contracts were up and I moved back to the USA, I relocated to LA with a fresh new perspective on project management, business, and sustainability and started drsyreetabond.com for project management consulting and my fully rebranded fashion brand lipstickkillerscollection.com.
Of course as my life changed, so did my priorities and I became a first time mom. Another big change in my life lead me to Texas! I’m still consulting, speaking and building a community for women in tech, becoming a published, award winning author and still all about fashion, and now also podcasting which has been great.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not a smooth road at all and I am thankful for that. The beautiful struggle of life made me the bad bitch I am today and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Some of the obstacles I faced were of course no financial support but my own personal finances. Constantly being doubted. Told that I couldn’t do it as well. This all made me fight harder and prove everyone wrong.

I offer empowerment workshops, public speaking bookings, and of course free resources on personal and professional development. It is my goal to make sure no one feels like they are alone, that they can accomplish anything and everything while being their authentic selves.
When you watch my content, you will clearly see how authentic I am and everyday I receive messages with people thanking me and asking for my advice on how to navigate their careers or goals or corporate spaces. And I truly love helping people do just that! My brand itself is all about how project management can be used in every facet of your life as well as your business model and I project that message in everything I do.
I’m most proud of my latest book Unleash Your Inner Bad Bitch! It’s a guide for using project management skills for work life management queendom and I recently won the female empowerment award from international impact award as well as was a finalist for author of the year. It’s been so amazing touching people’s hearts with my story and I want to keep going through speaking, consulting, and creating content that educates as well as help others see their greatness.

I absolutely love networking and collaborating with people!
