Hi Janell, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey started with my interest in International business study, film,fashion and fitness.
My first job was working for a bank as a teller and progressed to management as a Loan Officer but I have
always enjoyed being active and fit which led me to my martial arts journey and several awards and black belts and a career as a Stunt action Director and Stunt woman.
Today, I currently serve on the board for Tukong Austin and I continue teaching martial arts in addition to running my
companies and as CEO and Founder, Iron Dragon Productions and IDTVFLIX
I have been leading the development
and production of original and innovative content for television, film, and web platforms since
2014. My passion and expertise lie in the action and martial arts genre, where I have created
and launched the first and only streaming service and film festival dedicated to this niche
market, reaching millions of viewers and fans worldwide.
With more than 17 years of experience as a producer, director, author, stunt woman, and
martial arts master, I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality and award-winning
projects that appeal to a broad and diverse audience. I am also a coach and instructor for an
elite leadership team that trains groups internationally, and a board member for several
organizations that promote women in film and television, combat child trafficking, and support
orphaned children. I am driven by my mission to empower, inspire, and entertain people through
my media and philanthropic endeavors.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has not been without its obstacles and challenges. As a Female martial artist, business owner etc..
I have found that business is much like sparring in the ring(fight metaphor) You have to be ready for anything and everything.
As a woman in business, we have to be able to do a job ten times better than our male counterparts and for a lesser fee.
But any success is always worth it. “We can accomplish anything we put our minds to” Never give up on your dreams, just know that you will have challenges.
