Hidden Gems: Meet Jennifer Tucker of Amazing Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Tucker.

Hi Jennifer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My real estate story began 25 years ago in one of life’s most uncertain moments. I was pregnant, my husband had just lost his job, and we suddenly found ourselves without a home in Seattle, Washington—right in the middle of a market boom. The experience was humbling and terrifying at the same time. But through a Hero’s Loan program, I was able to buy again, rebuild, and find a new sense of purpose. That moment changed me forever. I promised myself I would never again be in a position where I couldn’t take care of my family—and I wanted to help others do the same.

That first home I bought became my first flip. I discovered that I could build not just income, but independence and stability through real estate. From there, my path unfolded naturally, one property at a time. What started as house flips evolved into a property management company, then a construction management company (to keep my crews busy between flips), and ultimately, into the real estate brokerage that we have today.

I founded Amazing Realty because I wanted a brokerage that lived up to its name—one that felt agent-focused, investor-friendly, and guided by heart. I wanted agents to feel supported, not just trained. I wanted clients to feel heard, not sold to. And I wanted every business decision to come from a place of integrity, service, and human connection.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with some truly amazing people—agents, partners, and community members who have helped bring my vision to life. Today, Amazing Realty has expanded to include 360 Property Management for long-term rentals, Hestia 360 our mid-term rental company run with a partner, and 360 Home Loans, giving clients a true one-stop experience.

But real estate, to me, is about more than transactions—it’s about transformation. That’s why I’ve dedicated much of my time to historic preservation in small-town Texas, breathing life back into forgotten properties. One of my proudest projects is the restoration of the Bartlett Lumberyard, which now operates as an apartment complex, and community gathering place, as well as the Bartlett National Bank, now a one-of-a-kind Airbnb experience. These projects merge my love for history, hospitality, and real estate—and prove that old spaces can tell new stories.

When I’m not working with clients or mentoring agents, I’m often writing—both about real estate and about life lessons learned along the way. My books are built around storytelling, resilience, and a whole lot of Southern grit.

What started as a desperate attempt to keep a roof over my head turned into a lifelong mission to help others build lives and legacies they’re proud of. That, to me, is what truly makes real estate AMAZING.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has certainly not been a smooth road. I’ve learned many valuabale lessons along the way. I feel like part of what makes our brand AMAZING is a willingness to ride the road and remain open to the things we learn along the way, and to ride along with our agents, clients and investors on their journeys as mentors, friends and real estate consultants.

Through the years I’ve experienced market shifts, personal challenges, and business obstacles. Being a single mom for many years was one of the biggest challenges and joys. Both of my kids have real estate licenses now, they both have flipped many houses and are handy, competent and capable in a way that makes them have value and purpose wherever they go, Raising excellent kids was very important to me.

As the market shifts in real estate, I’ve pivoted with Amazing Realty. I’ve added property management, construction management, hospitality, and lending to our portfolio of offerings so that we can remain strong no matter what the market throws at us. The real estate market is unpredictable and fickle!

As a person, running a business, raising kids and facing challenges along the way has meant that I had to grow up, make decisions, set boundaries and be ahead of the curve in order to survive. There is nothing easy about the world of real estate and to be able to grow and expand in such a highly competitive profession has meant growing up fast, taking the hard knocks along the way and keeping focused on the values that define us. I don’t want to minimize the great work that folks who have corporate jobs do, but being an entrepreneur and going about it independently is a bold decision. But for me it was the only one, and I had to make it work.

As far a historical preservation goes – my goodness this was a learning curve. I’ve had to find a work crew that understands preservation over the ease of tear it out and build it again. I’ve had to grapple with the city ordinances that don’t match the historic commission, and I’ve learned the very challenging path of permit approval. Most would say I’m crazy, but i truly love telling the story of these old buildings and the fascinating historical characters who lived and conducted business in them.

The biggest challenge we face today is the changing face of business structure and we are so excited to be ahead of the curve and building an AI based architecture for our brokerage. Its so important to us to stay ahead of the curve so our agents have the tools they need to serve our clients. The market place is changing and we have to keep up!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Amazing Realty?
At Amazing Realty, we do real estate differently — because we believe success in this business is deeply personal. We’re a full-service brokerage built on the foundation of coaching, connection, and care. While most brokerages focus on production numbers, we focus on people — their goals, their growth, and their “why.” Our offerings complement each other with the intention of making our brokerage a one-stop for all of our clients, and agents needs.

We serve clients across Texas with a full suite of in-house divisions, including 360 Property Management, 360 Home Loans, and Hestia 360, our hospitality management branch. Hestia 360 specializes in the Mid-Term Rental market, a niche my partner discovered through her own investment journey and has since refined into a proven system for investors seeking passive income with no hassle. This brand is also recognized as the industry leader because we have set the standard for premium housing – meaning guests seek out a Hestia Home to find comfort away from home. We handle every detail — from setup and marketing to guest management and maintenance — so our clients can enjoy the rewards of real estate without the stress of day-to-day operations.

Our agents at Amazing Realty aren’t just salespeople; they’re trusted advisors equipped to help clients build generational wealth through smart real estate strategies. We teach them how to be investors, how to read the market, and how to make real estate work for them — not the other way around. Agents are treated to individualized mentoring and support.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that “Amazing” has grown into more than a name; it’s a standard. It represents integrity, heart, and the belief that excellence can be kind. Our swirl-house logo has become a symbol of that philosophy.

Beyond brokerage, we’re deeply rooted in historic preservation and community revitalization. Our work in Bartlett, Texas — including the restoration of historic landmarks like the Bartlett Lumberyard and the Bartlett Bank — blends our passion for real estate with our love for Texas heritage.

The take away here is that Amazing Realty is different. We feel that everyone deserves an Amazing real estate experience.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Looking back as an adult, one of my favorite childhood memories is working alongside my dad. I was the kid holding the flashlight, handing him tools, and—probably most importantly—listening.

At the time, I thought my job was simply to keep the light pointed in the right direction. What I didn’t realize was that I was being taught how to work, how to solve problems, how to laugh when things went sideways, and how to keep going when something was harder than expected.

My dad wasn’t a sit-you-down-and-give-you-a-life-lesson kind of man. His lessons came while we were fixing something, building something, or figuring out how to make do with what we had. They were usually delivered in a one-liner, a colorful saying, or a bit of advice that I didn’t fully appreciate until years later.

Those sayings stayed with me.

As I got older, I began to realize how much of the way I approach business, parenting, adversity, and life came from those ordinary moments standing beside him. The flashlight may have been in my hand, but he was quietly showing me where to look.

That realization eventually became the inspiration for my book, *Half Ass Won’t Cut It*. It is a collection of the sayings, stories, humor, and hard-earned wisdom I grew up with—and the lessons I now understand were being handed down to me all along.

Funny how some of the most important moments of your childhood don’t look important at all when you’re living them. Sometimes they just look like a little girl holding a flashlight for her dad.
