Today we’d like to introduce you to Avion Moore.
Hi Avion, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
For two years, I had been praying and asking God what I was supposed to do next. It felt silent for so long, and then one day in June 2025, I heard the Lord clearly say, “Start making puddings.” Honestly, I thought it sounded crazy at first! But I decided to be obedient and take the first step. I stepped out on a leap of faith. Sometimes all it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed*
I invited my family over to try four flavors I had made, banana, cookies & cream, vanilla cookies & cream, and chocolate. The banana pudding was the one that really started it all, and I spent time perfecting that recipe. Amazingly, I came up with the other flavors all in one night. I truly felt like I was being guided by the Holy Spirit through the whole process.
My family loved them, and that gave me the confidence to let local restaurants and people in the community try them too. Their reactions encouraged me to keep going and confirmed that I was on the right path.
Within five days, we had our business name and our verse. The Lord spoke clearly to me about both, and two days later I received confirmation when Psalm 34:8 showed up as the verse of the day on the Bible app. I couldn’t believe it. From that point on, every step felt ordered by God.
Over the next few months, I worked on perfecting the website, creating pudding names, finding the right cups, designing the logo, and learning all about cottage food laws and business logistics. By August, I realized I would most likely need access to a shared kitchen because of the type of desserts we make. I searched everywhere, but every kitchen was at least an hour away. As a stay-at-home mom, I really needed something close to home, and honestly, I started feeling discouraged.
I finally found a shared kitchen about 20 minutes away and thought that was where I would end up making our puddings. But during my visit, the owner mentioned that Texas was about to pass new laws regarding cottage law foods. Then on September 1, 2025, a new law officially passed that allowed me to make my puddings from my home kitchen under the cottage food law.
That moment was huge for me. No one can tell me that wasn’t God. There have simply been too many signs and confirmations along the way.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve done more markets than I can count. Everywhere from San Antonio all the way to Killeen, Texas. But more importantly than selling puddings, our heart has always been about people. We want our business and our to be a place where people encounter the love of Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
This business is about so much more than dessert. It’s a safe place for believers, the lost, the hurting, and anyone who just needs encouragement, prayer, or love. We started this business because we wanted to share the love of Jesus with others, and along the way we’ve had so many incredible, God-ordained encounters with people through something as simple as pudding. Never limit what God can do!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. We’ve had a lot of highs, but also some discouraging moments along the way that tested our faith and perseverance.
One moment that really stands out was when we first started making puddings and were trying to get feedback from local restaurants. I had called ahead and scheduled a meeting with a chef at a restaurant, and I was beyond excited. My husband, toddler, and I showed up an hour before they opened, explained why we were there, and waited about 35 minutes.
Unfortunately, the chef I had scheduled the meeting with was off that day. After waiting, I asked if any of the staff or waiters would simply like to try the puddings instead. The manager was very rude with his word choice told us “no” and to basically get out because they were opening soon. We left feeling really discouraged and defeated in that moment.
But looking back now, moments like that taught us to keep going even when doors close. Not everyone will understand the vision God gave you, and not every opportunity will work out the way you hoped. That experience reminded us that rejection doesn’t mean you should quit, sometimes it just means God has something better ahead.
Since then, we’ve had so many people love and support what we do, and we’ve seen God open doors we never could have opened ourselves. Every struggle along the way has only strengthened our faith and reminded us why we started this journey in the first place.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a Christ-centered business that specializes in a variety of puddings while also sharing the Gospel and the love of Jesus with others. While we call them “puddings” because banana pudding is where it all started, many people also describe our desserts as a mix between a cheesecake and mousse because of their rich, creamy texture.
Our banana pudding is definitely what we are best known for, and over time we’ve expanded to more than 15 flavors and counting. Some of our primary favorites are Blessed & Banana Filled, Holy Cookies, Golden Cookie, and Mercy & Mocha. We also love creating seasonal flavors throughout the year, including favorites like Apple Pie and Peppermint Brownie.
Each pudding comes packaged in an 8.5 oz sealed can with a peel-top lid and protective cover to help keep it fresh after opening.
What truly sets us apart from other dessert businesses is that Christ is at the center of everything we do. Every pudding is prayed over before it reaches someone’s hands. We pray that whatever stress, fear, anxiety, heartbreak, or struggles someone may be carrying, the Holy Spirit would comfort them and fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Our business verse is Psalm 34:8 — “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. That verse is truly the foundation of our business and the heart behind everything we do.
For us, this business is about much more than desserts. We want people to feel seen, loved, encouraged, and welcomed the moment they walk up to our tent or place an order. Whether someone is a believer, hurting, searching, or simply wanting something sweet, we want our business to be a place filled with kindness, joy, and the presence of God.
We currently serve through local markets, online ordering, caterings, weddings, birthday parties, and other special events. One of the things we are most proud of brand-wise is that we’ve stayed true to the vision God originally gave us to use something as simple as pudding to minister to people and spread the love of Jesus.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that most people may not know about us is that my husband and I are both military kids and actually met in Germany. Because of our upbringing, we both experienced living in different places, adapting to new environments, and building community wherever we went. Looking back now, it’s amazing to see how those experiences helped shape who we are today and even how we connect with people through our business.
We truly believe God was writing our story long before Heaven On Earth ever existed. From meeting overseas to now building a Christ-centered business together in Texas, it’s been such a full-circle journey. Those experiences taught us the importance of hospitality, connection, and making people feel welcomed, which is exactly what we hope people experience when they try our puddings.
