Today we’d like to introduce you to Brennen Bliss.
Hi Brennen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I started making websites while I was in school and turned that into a full-service marketing company. I eventually fell in love with SEO and developed that as our service. We got rid of everything else and just started delivering that. That was over the past eight years, and we, most importantly, pivoted to being the destination SEO agency for travel and tourism. Travel is the only industry that can change somebody’s diversity and make them a more well-rounded human and as little time as it possibly does. You can send someone somewhere incredible in a week, have them return, and be a new person. And we get to influence and be a part of that, which is incredible.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
A couple of struggles were the pandemic and having the office go remote. Losing a bunch of our business and the pivot to travel was scary. We only had one client related to travel when we made the pivot during the pandemic. Getting rid of other services and going to just SEO was also a big, scary decision we made.
We’ve been impressed with Propellic, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
We are the destination SEO agency for travel and tourism. Anybody that thinks SEO and travel and tourism thinks of us. What sets us apart is that clients trust that we’re deeply aligned with their goals. We understand their industry and have the skills and experience to make what needs to happen happen.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise can be summed into the following:
- I’m proud of our work, our non-superficial work. Many SEO agencies do superficial work to check the boxes, and we go wide and deep into specific issues, technical, content, and authority.
- I’ve got committed team members. I’m also proud that we have really strong relationships with our clients and excellent clients.
- I like our delivery and team. It’s about relentless execution. It’s about doing things the right way, not the fastest way.
As for what your readers should know about my brand and offerings:
- Doing SEO for travel and tourism is very different than doing SEO for everybody.
- It’s a unique industry with unique needs and a highly complex value chain. You have to understand that to provide value in this space successfully.
Do you have any advice for those just starting?
If you’re starting a marketing firm, do it for a specific industry, not for everybody. You’ll develop expertise that is marketable and unbeatable.
