Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikitra Jackson-Sagirius.
Nikitra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Divine Luxury Spa’s start actually came from my love of creating bath and body products with my initial business Divine Luxury Bath and Body, which I started in 2014 I decided that I wanted to learn more about skin, so I enrolled in a esthetics school in 2018 and became a licensed esthetician. While in esthetics school. I learned that Black skin and skin of color was not treated the same as Caucasian skin and needs to be treated with care. That is where my love of esthetics actually grew from my need to know more about the skin. I have been a licensed esthetician since 2018 and I started out as a solo esthetician. In December 2024 we opened our very first store front in Round Rock. Texas, and we have grown from one esthetician to now, having 3 estheticians on staff and looking to grow our team even more. Our focus is is melatated skin, however, we care for all skin tones and skin types. We believe in skincare for ALL. We build confidence, one facial at a time.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey to opening our very first store front has come with its challenges and it has not been an easy journey, but it’s been a fulfilling journey. Being the first black owned spa in Round Rock is a major accomplishment. However, having to fund my store front by bootstrapping and paying for everything out of pocket, was not ideal. As a black owned business we know statistically, we’re not able to secure the type of capital and funding that others are, but I did have the determination to make this happen. I made sure that on this journey, I saved as much money as I could and I poured back into my business every dime that I ever made. By doing so we, were able to open our very first store front. And we are very proud of being able to accomplish such a huge task.

Divine Luxury Spa is Austin’s premier healthy skincare specialist. We are melanated skin care driven with a focus on corrective skin care. We treat clients who are dealing with acne and discoloration in the skin. We believe in treating ALL skin tones and skin types with treatments that are specific to their skin care needs. We also believe of the overall health of the clients skin. We offer infrared sauna treatments and we will soon bring a massage therapist to the team. We want to be your first choice when it comes to selfcare.
At Divine Luxury Spa we take educating our clients very seriously. No 2 skin types or tones are alike, so it’s very important to make sure that you are treating the client who is in front of you, with their skin care concerns. That means curating a treatment plan that is specific for them. We make sure we educate our clients on the proper products and tools to use to help them achieve their overall skin care goal. At Divine Luxury Spa we believe in Healthy Skin over Perfect Skin, and everyone has a right to have healthy skin.
What are your plans for the future?
We are looking forward to having a massage therapist join the Divine Luxury team in order to be a full servive spa. We will start hosting spa parties and bath and body classes in the near future.
We also love giving back to the community. Every first saturday of the month we host Mimosa Saturday. For 2025, during Mimosa Saturday, we are allowing one local business to set up(each month) in our spa, free of charge to spotlight their business. It’s important for us to support other up and coming businesses and use our platform and spa to help them gain exposure.
