Today we’d like to introduce you to Riti Chikkerur.
Hi Riti, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Riti: My journey to Joypreneuring started like most people, at my lowest point in life. My lowest point was when I lost access to my children at the hands of a corrupt few in texas family court. I was so low that in order to survive, I had to transmute my pain into bigger purpose C.S Lewis said “Joy is the serious business of life”. So I’ve taken this to heart and created a business on bringing joy to the world in the form of products and services that enhance and empower lives.
Nala: I became enamored with a vision of sharing with the world my song. To bring people together in order to share out loud our thoughts, feelings and dreams. Compassion has become my catalyst and though circumstances may
seem meek. It’s important to keep our vision and our optimism for life. Trasmuting pain into joy and finding new ways to experience life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Riti: Absolutely not been a smooth road, and I wouldn’t have it any other way as it made me life ready. From trauma fatigue to extreme poverty to wrongful incarnation to losing everyone important me, I simply plowed through the obstacles with faith in a higher benevolent power. I’ve now learned to look back and just laugh at the dark times.
Nala: Hey, nobody told me I was going to be brought into a world that wouldn’t accept my full self, it has not been easy identifying what type of person I am and who I want to be in the world. But as I continue to learn, I appreciate more and view my struggles as necessary lessons for learning.
As you know, we’re big fans of TAOJ The Art Of Joypreneuring, Inc. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Art of Joypreneuring is a multi-faceted business. We are constantly designing products and service offerings to distill Joy from an otherwise mundane world. We specialize in curating private and group experiences through our Life coaching, workshops, INJD (In joy dance) outdoors, culinary experiences, etc. for our customers. Our business is different from others in that we do not shy away from vulnerability. We also are huge proponents of sacred economics, barter as payment for our services and building self-sustaining intentional communities. Our desire is to teach those who want to learn how to transmute pain into joy and purpose.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Too many mentors, supporters, clients, teammates and even naysayers helped us carve out our business philosophy.
