Inspiring Conversations with Yitzchak Pierson of Yitzchak Pierson, Broker Associate & REALTOR® – eXp Realty LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yitzchak Pierson.

Hi Yitzchak, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It’s definitely a long story, but I’ll try to keep it as short as possible.

I grew up off the grid without a birth certificate or Social Security number. My family operated several businesses, including a pottery business, a wrought-iron and furniture import business, a construction company, and a farm and ranch. I started working at 10 years old and was working full-time in the family businesses by the age of 13.

When I turned 18, I was finally able to obtain my birth certificate and Social Security number. From there, I entered the manufacturing industry and went to work for Thermon in San Marcos, Texas. During that period of my life, I made some poor decisions and got into trouble a few times. By the time I was 25, I knew I wanted a different future, so I started looking into side hustles and ways to change the trajectory of my life.

In 2018, I discovered real estate investing and personal growth and development, and those two things completely changed my direction. In 2020, during the COVID pandemic, I earned my real estate license. In 2021, while still working full-time in manufacturing, I began apartment locating on the side. By the end of 2021, I made the leap into residential real estate full-time with eXp Realty.

My first full year in residential real estate was 2022, and that’s when I became obsessed with education and professional development. Since then, I’ve completed more than 1,000 hours of real estate education, along with hundreds of hours of coaching training and experience, both as a coach and a client. I hold three mindset and performance coaching certifications, including becoming a Certified High Performance Coach through Brendon Burchard’s program.

Since entering the industry, I’ve built a six-figure business, earned recognition both within my brokerage and nationally, and have been featured in rankings such as RealTrends. One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is being voted Best Real Estate Agent in New Braunfels in both 2024 and 2025. Now, I’m working toward earning that title for a third consecutive year in 2026.

Looking back, my journey has been anything but traditional. From growing up off the grid to building a successful business and helping others achieve their goals, I’m grateful for every step of the process. The challenges I faced early in life taught me resilience, work ethic, and the importance of continuous growth, lessons that still guide me every day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road.

There have been a lot of struggles along the way, but I believe adversity can either hold us back or propel us forward. We all have a choice in how we respond to the challenges we face. I’ve tried to take my setbacks, failures, and mistakes and use them as lessons that not only helped me grow but also allowed me to help others by sharing my story.

Some of my biggest challenges started in childhood, growing up in a religious cult and living a very unconventional life. Later, in my twenties, I struggled with alcohol and drug use and was arrested three times for marijuana possession and DWI-related offenses. Looking back, those experiences were painful, but they ultimately became turning points in my life.

Today, I have been sober for more than four years, and I honestly don’t think I would have the same level of success, gratitude, or purpose if I hadn’t gone through those challenges and made the decision to change. What started as a personal journey to improve my own life and be better for my family eventually began to impact friends, my community, and now, through social media, a much larger audience.

One of the most rewarding things has been seeing how my story resonates with others. I’ve had the opportunity to speak to individuals attending court-ordered drug and alcohol classes and share my experiences with them. The tests I went through became my testimony. The trials and tribulations became opportunities to choose being a victor rather than a victim.

I think one reason people connect with my story is because it feels relatable. When I was younger, many successful people seemed so far removed from my reality that it was hard to believe I could achieve similar results. Hearing about their struggles made success feel more attainable. Now, I try to pay that forward by being that example for someone else.

At the end of the day, I’m not extraordinary. I’m a normal person who has made plenty of mistakes. The difference is that I’ve chosen to keep learning, keep growing, and stay consistent. I don’t always learn the lesson the first time, but I do my best to use every experience to become a better person and help those around me do the same.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a Broker Associate and REALTOR® with eXp Realty, serving New Braunfels, the surrounding Hill Country, and the greater San Antonio and Austin areas. I help buyers, sellers, investors, and agents achieve their real estate goals while focusing heavily on education, communication, and long-term relationships.

My business is built on the belief that real estate is about much more than buying and selling property. For most people, a home is one of the largest financial decisions they will ever make, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to help clients make informed decisions by educating them throughout the process and empowering them with the knowledge they need to move forward confidently.

I work with a wide range of clients, including first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, sellers, real estate investors, and out-of-state and international clients. I also mentor and coach other agents, helping them grow their businesses and better serve their clients.

What sets me apart is my commitment to continuous improvement and professional development. Since entering the industry, I have completed more than 1,000 hours of real estate education and earned numerous certifications and designations. I believe my clients deserve a professional who is constantly learning and staying ahead of industry changes, market trends, and best practices.

I am also known for my transparency and accessibility. I strive to be a trusted advisor rather than a salesperson. Whether someone is ready to buy or sell today or simply exploring their options, I want them to feel comfortable reaching out and getting honest guidance without pressure.

Brand-wise, I am most proud of the reputation I have built within the community. Being voted Best Real Estate Agent in New Braunfels in both 2024 and 2025 is an incredible honor because it reflects the trust and support of the people I serve. I am equally proud of the relationships I have built with clients, many of whom have become friends, referral partners, and long-term supporters of my business.

Above all, I want readers to know that my business is centered around service, education, and growth. My mission is to help people get from where they are to where they want to be, whether that’s buying their first home, building wealth through real estate, selling a property, or pursuing their next chapter in life.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
If I had to choose one quality that has contributed the most to my success, it would be consistency.

People often assume success comes from talent, intelligence, or having the perfect opportunity, but my experience has been that showing up consistently day after day is what creates long-term results. I am not the smartest person in every room, and I certainly haven’t done everything perfectly. What I have done is continue moving forward, even when things were difficult, uncomfortable, or uncertain.

Whether it’s my business, personal development, fitness, sobriety, or relationships, I’ve learned that small actions repeated over time create extraordinary results. Success is rarely built in a single moment; it’s built through thousands of decisions to keep going when most people would quit.

Another important characteristic is my willingness to learn. I believe growth requires humility. No matter how much I accomplish, I know there is always more to learn, more ways to improve, and more people I can learn from. That mindset has helped me continue evolving both personally and professionally.

Ultimately, I believe consistency combined with a commitment to continuous growth has been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved. It’s a simple principle, but it has had a profound impact on my life.
