We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brittney Creager. Check out our conversation below.
Brittney, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts with coffee and a quick moment of quiet before the day picks up. Once I’m at ATX Aesthetics, it’s a mix of treating clients, chatting about their skin goals, and managing the behind-the-scenes of the business. From answering messages to checking in with my team. No two days are the same, but they’re always full of connection, laughter, and that rewarding feeling of helping people feel confident in their skin. After work, I try to switch into mom mode, spend time with my little one, and squeeze in a bit of me-time before doing it all over again.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Brittney, the owner and aesthetician at ATX Aesthetics in East Austin. I started this business at 23 with no clientele, secondhand equipment, and a deep passion for skincare. As a cancer survivor, I know firsthand how important it is to feel beautiful and confident in your own skin for me it’s not just about appearance, it’s about reclaiming a part of yourself. That’s why I created ATX Aesthetics: to offer results-driven treatments like acne bootcamps, microneedling, and DMK Enzyme Therapy in a warm, welcoming space where clients feel truly cared for. Four years later, we’ve grown into more than a med spa. We’re a community where every person who walks in the door leaves feeling seen, heard, and more confident. My mission has always been simple: to make a difference in people’s lives, one skin transformation at a time.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I was 16, I was diagnosed with cancer and spent months at Dell Children’s Hospital. At that age, you’re supposed to be worried about school dances and hanging out with friends. Instead, I was focused on chemo and radiation treatment and surgeries and getting healthier. That experience completely changed how I see the world. It taught me resilience, gratitude, and that life is too short to hold back from chasing what you love. It’s also where my passion for helping people feel beautiful and confident was born. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and not feel like yourself, and now, through my work at ATX Aesthetics, I get to help others reclaim that confidence every single day.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me empathy in a way success never could. Going through cancer at such a young age made me understand how deeply people can be struggling beneath the surface, even if they look “fine” on the outside. It showed me the value of compassion, patience, and truly seeing people for who they are, not just what they present to everyone around them. Success is amazing, but it doesn’t humble you or connect you to others the way hardship does.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d probably say I care deeply and that nothing matters more to me than seeing my people thrive. I’m the silly, outgoing friend who’s always making people laugh, lifting the mood, and making sure everyone feels loved and included. I want the people I care about to feel supported, celebrated, and know they always have someone in their corner.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I made them feel seen, loved, and important. That I was someone who could make them laugh even on hard days, who cared deeply, and who always rooted for them to win. I want to be remembered as someone who used my heart, my story, and my work to lift people up and help them feel confident in who they are.
