We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kristina Stangl. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Kristina, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
When writing my books, I never know which particular story is going to captivate and catch on with my readers. In many ways, writing a book is like shooting a blank arrow into the night sky and watching it fall down into the unknown from afar.
Since I write in a variety of genres, I just never know which story will resonate the most (and in which way) with my readers. But I must say, each story that I write is an adventure and some of the feedback I’ve gotten have been pleasantly surprising. For example, my books, Cupid’s Serenade and Kill Me, Kiss Me, have been well received and loved by many fans for being about second chances in love with an unlikely hero.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I’m Kristina Stangl. I’m an author who specializes in romance, romantasy and modern romances.
In addition to writing, I also own an Etsy Shop called, Kristina Stangl Books. At my shop, you can purchase signed copies to my books, as well as jewelry, accessories, and more!
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Communication is the magic word. What breaks the bonds held between people originate from the lack of communication shared between them, and what unites them back again is through active communication.
Without proper communication, we, as a society, fail. Our needs and desires can be easily overlooked through the act of silence. Therefore, to maintain healthy relationships with others, whether it be a friend, family member, neighbor, co-worker, or other, we must all strive to keep positive dialogues with each other.
We might not always agree with one another, but that’s okay. As long as we are honest, then we have the framework to work beyond our differences and find common ground with one another.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
If everything was handed to you over a silver platter, then what would be the point of even trying?
The answer is simple: there’d be no need to try. That’s why suffering is important. One must experience hardship to appreciate the final good.
For example, if you want to enjoy the thrills of publishing a book, then you must first struggle to write your manuscript. If you want to buy a new house, then you must work hard to earn the money to buy it. Or, if you want to be a champion ice skater, then you must practice daily on the ice.
Overall, if you want to accomplish something, then you’ve got to strive for it. Only then, can you truly appreciate the seeds of success later on.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Thinking that they know everything and that there’s nothing else left to learn. But in my opinion, that’s not accurate at all. In fact, as humans, there’s always something new to learn. The world is constantly evolving and it’s important to stay on top of it all.
No matter how young or old we are, there’s always something new to learn. Whether it’s picking up a new book to read, or chatting with a neighbor, there’s constantly a new subject, idea, or perspective to gain.
Therefore, it’s important to keep an open mind. Each day is a new adventure and a chance to grow and embrace new challenges.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If immortality were real, what would you build?
I would build a palace library, filled with books of every genre, from all generations. From the classics to the modern reads, to children to adult books, it would be a library filled with all sorts of endless knowledge. It would also be free of admission and open daily at all hours of the day.
