We recently had the chance to connect with Noah Marion and have shared our conversation below.
Noah, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wish I could say there were no phones…but I am a human being of the year 2025 after all. So, I usually get up and take the dog down for some grub, make an espresso tonic (my current obsession) and then sit on the porch and watch him do his thing. Spend some time playing the wordle, connections and solitaire then catching up on emails and scrolling the doom-universe of the instagram and maybe sometimes having a second coffee.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Noah Marion of the brand Noah Marion, LOL. I would classify myself as a thinker and a dreamer first and foremost. A designer/business owner secondly. We are a brand focused on design and longevity at the forefront of what we make in house over here in Austin, TX. From the beginning everything was leather, hand cut, hand sewn and designed by me, now we have grown and expanded and blossomed in to a fully outfitted lifestyle brand with hundreds of different products not just leather. I would say the fact that we are still hand making quality heirloom products in Austin, TX is pretty special and very unique. Almost everything is now produced in some factory oversees these days so the fact we’re doing it the old-school way here is really unique.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My mother. She is tireless and dedicated and driven like no one else I’ve ever met. She is my hero and my idol.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
So many I can barely count. But honestly the only reason I’m here today is because of perseverance and grit and fortitude. You just can’t quit.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Probably integrity and follow through. I really require that in my life.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
That personal direction and trust in your self is the most underrated character trait. If you strive ahead fearlessly you can almost always achieve more than most because they’re all second guessing and being too timid. Just do it. I think someone famous said that once.
