Hi Raluca, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Each day is meaningful to me, as I am committed to becoming a better version of myself with every new beginning. I start my mornings with prayer, meditation, yoga, and physical activity, which help set a focused and grounded tone for the day. From there, I review emails, confirm appointments, and transition fully into my work. No two days are the same, as each client is unique, and the relationships we build—shaped by their individual stories and goals—are deeply important to me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Raluca Fallon, and I am a licensed Realtor® in Austin, Texas, with nearly five years of experience in the industry. I am proud to be affiliated with JPAR Real Estate. My unique blend of market knowledge, hands-on experience, and strong moral values sets me apart in this field. I am deeply passionate about helping clients achieve their lifelong dreams of homeownership, as well as professionally guiding them through important transitions such as upgrading or downsizing their homes.I am currently working toward becoming a licensed Realtor® in the state of Hawaii, while also serving as the Chief Operating Officer of MonthlyMate. At MonthlyMate, our mission is to simplify life’s essential services by helping individuals and families find the best utility solutions for their homes—transparently, ethically, and effortlessly. We operate with complete honesty, ensuring that every recommendation genuinely serves the best interests of our customers, partners, and the communities we support. As we continue to grow, we remain deeply committed to doing so with integrity and purpose, creating a meaningful impact that contributes to a smarter, fairer, and more sustainable future for all.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
My perspective on the world has not been shaped by a single defining moment, but rather by a collection of diverse life experiences. Coming from humble beginnings, I learned early on the importance of gratitude and appreciation—for both the opportunities I’ve been given and the people who have been part of my journey. Challenging moments have taught me how to grow, adapt, and develop strengths I did not initially know I possessed. I am a naturally positive person who consistently chooses to focus on possibilities and solutions, seeing the brighter side even in the most difficult circumstances.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
Failure is an essential part of life—it challenges us to redefine our goals, discover new perspectives about ourselves and the world, and ultimately pushes us to grow. I have experienced moments of deep setback, times when I felt defeated and uncertain that moving forward was even possible. Yet those experiences shaped who I am today. I now find myself achieving goals I once hesitated to envision. As a result, I have redefined my relationship with failure: I see it not as an endpoint, but as an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reset. That reset may mean setting new goals or developing new skills, but it always leads to growth.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I take my commitments very seriously, including maintaining a sober and healthy lifestyle, nurturing my faith, and upholding the highest standards in my professional life. These principles guide my decisions, shape my work ethic, and influence how I serve others. I am deeply committed to delivering exceptional service to my clients and consistently go the extra mile to ensure every detail is handled with care and precision. Clients who choose to work with me can expect a seamless and well-managed transaction, clear and honest communication, and a calm, supportive experience throughout the often stressful process of moving. I approach every client relationship with integrity, accountability, and genuine dedication, always keeping their best interests at the forefront. My goal is not only to help clients achieve successful outcomes, but to build lasting relationships rooted in trust and respect.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
Throughout this interview, I realize I’ve been more open and vulnerable than I typically am. Peace is something most people strive for, though it means something different to each of us. For me, peace comes at the end of the day—when I can reflect and know that I learned something new, helped a client move closer to their dream of homeownership, and took another meaningful step toward my own goals. Being home with my loved one and our pets, grounded in gratitude for the life I am building, is what ultimately brings me the greatest sense of peace.
