Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Countryman.
Hi Adam, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I took a risk and decided to launch something that I thought could be of help to musicians and churches and set out to do coaching and consulting on a national scale. While a lot of what I do is in Texas I have also served clients in over 20 other states in the US. The hustle is hard, especially with a family, but it is something that I have found extremely rewarding.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No. The common issues are always a struggle in any business that is small and especially when you are the owner and operator. Due to the fact that I also have a diverse income source with producing, music directing, gigging and coaching and consulting, it is always a calendaring puzzle and there are certainly seasons of drought and seasons of plenty.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work with mostly churches and non-profits to better their experience to the public in the area of worship, music and hospitality. Since every one of the clients is different, every project has a slightly different lens but one of the things that always stays the same is the desire to produce better work at higher quality to become more effective. The experience I bring to the table as a professional musician and music director certainly sets me apart from different “church only” entities.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson I have learned is to be patient and surround yourself with the best people possible.
