Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Uruena.
Hi Adriana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Con Mucho Amor during the pandemic when I was living in Long Beach,Ca. I started painting my own clothes and furniture for fun and eventually started thrifting old furniture and giving them a new life, my signature was painting furniture into cow print. Later on I did a sign painting course as well as messing around with airbrushing so I’ve been including that knowledge into my work. After moving to Austin in 2022 I have been working more on clothes with airbrushing and it’s been a great process.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not, sometimes the creative flow isn’t there and I’m more focused on skating or work, but I always try to push myself in some sort of aspect in life if it’s not art in that moment it’s something else.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I work with children, I’m a preschool teacher. I’ve been doing it for about 6 years now and specialize mostly in teaching them art. I also taught skateboarding and dance in the past. I love working with kids is really special and something I am really passionate about. I’ve met some amazing families and it’s really fun seeing the little ones growing throughout the years.
What are your plans for the future?
Hopefully continuing Con Mucho Amor, improving the craft of letters and airbrushing, and definitely skating until i physically can’t no more! 🙂
