Life & Work with Daniela Trompiz of Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Trompiz.

Daniela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been a creative person, but my journey truly began when I turned that creativity into something meaningful for my family and community. What started as small ideas, custom products, and passion projects gradually evolved into building several brands centered around creativity, experiences, and connection.

Over the years, I’ve worked in graphic design, marketing, events, and branding for small businesses, which allowed me to understand not only the creative side of entrepreneurship, but also the strategy behind building a brand that people genuinely connect with.

I launched Hey Mamacita Co. as a brand focused on lifestyle, content, and creativity for modern women, while Hey Mamacita Shop became the physical and visual extension of that essence — a shop featuring products, gifts, and accessories designed to make everyday moments feel special, feminine, and stylish.

In addition, I also founded V3 Productions LLC, a company focused on event experiences, including photobooths and 360 platforms, where we combine entertainment, content creation, and memorable visual experiences for celebrations and brands.

A big part of my journey has been learning how to evolve, adapt, and continue creating even during uncertain moments. Every stage taught me something valuable, from participating in pop-ups and boutique spaces to developing brands, experiences, and an authentic online presence.

Today, my focus is on creating projects that feel intentional, relatable, and visually memorable while continuing to grow as an entrepreneur, creative, and mom.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. Like many entrepreneurs, especially women balancing multiple roles, the journey has come with a lot of challenges behind the scenes.

One of the biggest lessons for me has been learning how to build and grow businesses while also being a mom, managing responsibilities at home, and wearing many hats at once. There were moments where I had to pivot quickly, adapt to unexpected changes, and rebuild certain parts of the business from scratch.

I’ve also experienced the realities that many small business owners face — financial pressure, uncertainty, burnout, and the challenge of trying to stay creative while also handling the operational side of things. At one point, some of the retail spaces we were part of closed unexpectedly, which forced me to rethink strategy, move more into online sales, and become even more intentional about how I wanted to grow my brands.

But honestly, those experiences also helped shape me the most. They taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of creating businesses that are rooted in authenticity and community, not just aesthetics. I think every challenge pushed me to become more strategic, more confident, and more connected to the reason I started in the first place.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work mainly revolves around creativity, branding, and creating experiences that feel intentional and memorable. Through my different businesses, I work across lifestyle branding, custom products, event experiences, content creation, and marketing for small businesses.

With Hey Mamacita Co., I focus on content, lifestyle, and creative branding for modern women, while Hey Mamacita Shop specializes in curated products, gifts, accessories, and custom merchandise that combine style with personality. Through V3 Productions LLC, I create interactive event experiences through photobooths and 360 platforms that help brands and families capture moments in a fun and visually impactful way.

I think one thing that really sets me apart is that I approach everything from both a creative and strategic perspective. I care deeply about aesthetics and branding, but I also understand the importance of connection, storytelling, and creating experiences that people genuinely remember. A lot of my inspiration comes from everyday life, motherhood, culture, and the idea that even small details can make people feel special.

What I’m most proud of is being able to build brands that feel authentic to me while continuing to evolve through every season of life and business. I’m also proud that many of the things I’ve built started from simple ideas, creativity, and consistency rather than having everything perfectly figured out from the beginning.

At the end of the day, I want people to feel something when they interact with my brands — whether it’s inspiration, excitement, comfort, or connection. I think that emotional connection is what truly makes a brand memorable.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
One piece of advice I would give to anyone starting out is to not wait until everything feels perfect to begin. A lot of people think they need the perfect logo, perfect plan, or perfect timing before they start, but honestly, so much of entrepreneurship is learned through experience.

I also think it’s important to build something that feels authentic to you instead of constantly comparing yourself to what everyone else is doing online. Trends change quickly, but people connect with brands and businesses that feel genuine and consistent.

Something I wish I knew earlier is how important adaptability really is. Business rarely follows a straight path, and there will be moments where you have to pivot, learn new skills, or completely rethink your strategy. That doesn’t mean you’re failing — it’s actually part of growth.

I would also tell new entrepreneurs not to underestimate the power of community and relationships. Some of the biggest opportunities come through connections, collaborations, and simply showing up consistently over time.

Most importantly, give yourself permission to grow gradually. You do not need to have everything figured out on day one. Start with what you have, stay open to learning, and allow your business to evolve alongside you.
