Life & Work with Donald and Denis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donald and Denis.

Hi Donald and Dennis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Denis and I have been a gay couple together for about 35 years. Born and raised in NYC, we worked in creative positions for large companies most of our lives. In our early 50s, we started a small online t-shirt company as a side business. Silber Fuchs NYC (Silver Fox NYC) has snowballed into a successful venture for our online business and wholesale to stores in Ptown, Chicago, Ft Lauderdale, Palm Springs, and other cities.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t think there is any such thing as a smooth road. Wouldn’t that be boring? We can probably advise on most gay couple issues at this point. Workwise, getting laid off in your early 50s is never good. Luckily, we had Silber Fuchs to focus on.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Our company caters to the gay community. We make fun of tees that guys of all ages will find amusing. We reflect that in our models and tee-shirt messages. Our “VINTAGE” tee has been a best seller for a few years.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Can you share something that might surprise us?
People are most surprised that Denis and I are still doing everything ourselves out of our Manhattan apartment. We design the tees, print them, manage our website, and mail everything ourselves. It’s overwhelming at times.

Pricing:

  • We are trying to keep our tees at an affordable $29.
