Life & Work with Dr Lana Bach-Morrow PhD of Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Lana Bach-Morrow PhD.

Hi Dr Lana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a functional medicine neuroscientist and award winning inventor (at think interfaces.com) – and a creator of THINK system for focus, memory and peak performance, I dedicated my life to helping humanity raise their consciousness, with particular focus on interconnectivity between the brain, mind, body and spiritual aspects. This approach brings a balance to brain and body, and results in fast healing and effective performance, both cognitively and physically. Working at the level of photovoltaic and electrophysiological level, with non invasive technology and methods, we are able to achieve optimal and lasting results in short amount of time. Working from the wellness clinic in Bee Cave, Alive and Well, we have people coming to us from all over the world, healing rapidly and often bringing their family members to experience what they achieved. Serving humanity has always been my goal. It is apparent that in order to fully heal, we need to view our clients from a holistic perspective and find ways that are unique to each individual, allowing them to fully heal at the root cause.

From a very early age growing up in Europe, Italy, I knew that I would be involved in helping people healing. Since the age of twelve I started reading every book I could on human psychology, first starting with S. Freud, then CG Jung, whose writings I found particularly interesting. Later on, at the Universita’ Sapienza of Rome, Italy, I studied brain mapping, neurology and visual evoked potentials, with particular focus on dopamine, cognition and mobility disorders. During the second year of my studies, I focused on consciousness and its relationship to perception, brain and mind; I was curious about the relationship of neuronal signals, biofield and I pursued studying awareness and perception as related to dopamine balance and vagus nerve activation. After graduating from my doctorate program with Summa Cum Laude the University, I was invited to Paris, Sorbonne, to study with my mentor Prof Mecacci whose teacher was the Nobel Laureate Rita Levi Montalcini MD, the first woman who won two Nobel prizes for her work on BDNF- brain derived neurotropic factor. We now know that BDNF is involved in growth of new stem cells and neurons. Soon after I was invited as an associate scientist to my post-doctorate study at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, by Prof Dr Melvin Yahr, the creator of Cohen Yahr scales of Parkinson Disease. After completing the two years and publishing several papers, I enrolled in a joint PhD program at Columbia Presbyterian and City University, with focus on attention, and non-invasive testing, diagnosis and remediation of ADHD. Following this program, I completed a two year internship at Columbia University hospital, testing and working with Parkinson patients, ADHD children and adults, as well as training at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department of Columbia Presbyterian. Addressing differential diagnosis and treatment of particularly challenging cases became my specialty.

I worked in private practice for several years, working in collaboration with Columbia University and private Ivy League schools of Manhattan. I helped open a few Learning Centers at middle and high schools I worked with, – to aid children and adolescents with learning issues, ADHD, dyslexia and more. This work lead to understanding that children who had heart related issues could not take medication – thus I invented a method of remediating focussing issues that was non-invasive, based on video neuroprograms, mostly via what looks like a video game. The program was successful and my practice expanded. I created THINK Interfaces company, in order to create devices that are efficient and work with neuronal and biofield frequencies, and are based on published and verified neuroscientific PubMed studies.
We utilized very specific signals and stimulation of the retina, and collaborated with more than ten universities and hospital teams, along thirteen engineering teams to achieve solid, replicable and reliable efficacy of our systems. They were produced with collaboration with HoneyBee Robotics, a company that produces high level technology, amongst which the portable mini laboratory and “arm” that found water on Mars (Rover technology). As a result, our hardware and software is extremely durable, reliable and efficient. We own several international and US patents, and have tested our system with Columbia University, NYU, Mt Sinai Hospital, Pitie’ Salpetriere (Sorbonne, Paris) and S. Pau y Santa Creu (Universita Autonoma de Barcelona Spain). This multi centric activity resulted in a study that proved efficacy of THINK system on the lasting effect of improvement of the neuroplasticity, as a result of fully non-invasive training. This is the first time in medical history that Nature Journal published a peer reviewed, double blind study conducted with frequency based neurotechnological device and system in November 2022 (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-24088-7#citeas)

Presently we are helping people achieve wellness during these challenging times. Our vision is to expand consciousness, both spiritually and at the level of healing the mind and body – with frequencies, photovoltaic non invasive stimulation, sound and electrophysiology. We are creating an app for focus and stress reduction, and are producing systems that will be embedded into sentient healing domes, both for private use as well as for public use. Dedicated to humanity, we are creating visionary centers for regenerative wellness and healing, from veterans of war to students, and people affected by multiple issues. We believe that it is of essence to involve mind body and spirit in achieving a balance in wellness, in harmony with Nature and all its inhabitants.

For her work, Dr Bach-Morrow was awarded a prestigious PremioGalileo2000 award in 2013, for lifetime achievement in neurobiology, along with Dr Faggin, the inventor of Intel Chip. The Company THINK Interfaces was awarded Best in Advancements in Neurotechnology, Global and USA award in 2025.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an innovator and serial entrepreneur always comes with challenges, and requires the visionary to both stay authentic to her vision as well as grounded fully in making certain that all necessary elements, daily operations and actions are in place. Coordinating sometimes as many as 500 people comes with a demanding schedule, particularly if it involves working on two or three continents, We feel it is a privilege and a blessing to create a vision of a better world, wellness of humanity, and being of service to many. Having such strong purpose, and knowing it is divinely guided has helped staying on track and stepping into joyful purpose driven life of service.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a functional medicine neuroscientist and creator of novel technologies, I am grateful to be able to create and invent technologies that are non-invasive and prove to be helpful to thousands of people. I love being of service, working with people, knowing that I can help, and being aware of the ripple effect of the wellness at many level repercussing throughout the world, and affecting many. Innovation requires creativity as well as sustained dedication to systematic studies, which, when conducted in harmony, brings joyful and effective results to many. We are a rare company that combines precise knowledge and specific, proven neurotechnology with ancient knowledge of frequencies and wisdom of functional healing.
