Today we’d like to introduce you to Elly Doss-Fleegal.
Hi Elly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my journey making soaps and skincare due to my own sensitive skin and I also struggled with eczema. I started creating my own products from scratch and incorporated my harvested wildcrafted herbs off my land and from my gardens. Everything I make is inspired by nature and intended to bring beauty into what would otherwise be mudane moments.
I make natural soap and skincare from rainwater, botanical oils scented with essential oils and colored with herbs clays and minerals. I have soap, bath salts, sugar scrubs, herbal mists, repellents, and botanical products.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being self employed takes a lot of personal motivation. You to develop many skills along the way to keep moving and growing. The hardest things have been to keep going forward while life keeps happening. Losing loved ones, having kids, living through tough times. You have to find a way to keep going even when it’s all uphill knowing that joyful times will come again.

I make everything from scratch and am constantly trying to come up with new combinations in scent and color.

I’ve now grown from creating natural skincare to edible favorites too. I’ll be offering our homestead line Cackling Crows infused vinegars, vanilla extracts, finishing salts, vinegar based bontanical infused cleaners, and much more!
Both lines will be available for sale at the Blue Genie christmas Bazaar and the Austin Armadillo Christmas Bazaar.
