Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Joseph.
Hi Gabrielle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey in becoming a social media influencer started in the year 2021. My increase in self-confidence and self-esteem and promoting positive mental health are two of the reasons I keep on striving for greatness. It is an inspiration to realize that I have impacted so many people with my story. I was born on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, which is an island a part of the United States Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. I grew up with my mother and her side of the family, and they have all been loving and caring throughout my whole life. I maintained a 3.8 GPA throughout school and graduated from high school in the top ten percent of my class. I also managed to juggle doing college classes and working throughout high school. I also participated in sports, and that includes track, basketball, and volleyball. Upon my completion of high school, I decided to enlist into the United States Army to serve my country and to continue to fight for the freedom that we have. Throughout my short army career, there have been moments for me that can be classified as highs and lows. With the struggles and trauma that I have faced, I promote resiliency.
It is not how you start, but it is how you continue to push and finish this journey we call life. Life is what you make it, and you should live it to the fullest.
My story shows resiliency and positive mental health. I never want anyone to feel like they are alone and that they can always reach out to me if they need anything. Even if that means to simply just put a smile on their faces makes me happy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, and that is what makes my story so relatable. The most successful people in the world faced struggles, trials, and tribulations to get to where they are now. The struggles I have faced would have to be facing the trauma I have experienced while being in the army. Healing from trauma is not easy, but I have continuously kept pushing so I can remain a role model and inspiration for others who may have faced similar situations.
Life is a marathon made for those who can endure until the end.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I will consider myself to be a social media influencer. I love to promote businesses, showcase my confidence, and to overall to love the skin that I am in. I am most proud of the fact that I have truly grown as a person, and I have not allowed my trauma to consume me. I am known for being that bright shining light on social media that is completely relatable and interacts with others all around the world.
What sets me apart from the others is my eagerness to be relatable and to interact with my followers. I want to continue to be a different type of upcoming influencer that my followers can vent and relate to on so many levels. I love to explain to my followers that I am human just like them, and I face struggles as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
The biggest thing that makes me happy is me knowing and feeling like my purpose here on Earth is to be there for others and to be a bright shining light. Another thing that makes me happy is the continuous support from my family, friends, and followers. Knowing that I am an inspiration and role model makes it worth it to keep going through this journey called life.
The most important thing that makes me happy is knowing that I am pleasing God as much as I can because He is the author of my life. As I please God, I know that I am pleasing myself because He lives within me.
