Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Trejo.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I first fell in love with wedding planning while creating my Pinterest board for my own wedding, but it was really my husband who encouraged me to turn that passion into something more. As a wife and mom, my family has always been my biggest inspiration, and I started this business as a way to create a better life for us.
What began as a dream has turned into work I truly love- helping couples feel present and stress-free on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
Naming my business Elizabeth & Josephine Events and Coordination was especially personal, as it honors my late sister and my late grandmother. Every wedding I coordinate is not just about details and timelines, but about carrying that love, legacy, and purpose into what I create for each couple.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road definitely hasn’t been perfect. Before starting my business, I was really on a journey of trying to find myself and the right path for me and my family.
Once I discovered wedding coordination, I knew I had found my place and my passion. And while there have been challenges, each step, and the support and encouragement from my husband has helped me grow into the business owner and person I am today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in creating weddings that feel personal, seamless, and stress-free for my couples. What I’m most proud of is the trust I build with each couple- I love knowing they feel fully supported and free to be present on their wedding day.
What sets me apart is the heart I bring to my work. I see every wedding not just as an event, but as a story, and I take pride in making sure my couples feel cared for, seen, and celebrated throughout the entire process.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the diversity that is Austin. Every day has the opportunity to be a new adventure- a new hiking path, a new cute little restaurant or some kind of trendy pop up shop downtown. Austin has always been my home and I think it always will be.
TRAFFIC- definitely hate the traffic, but if that’s the worst thing about where I live I think I can deal, ha.
