Meet Alessandra Guth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alessandra Guth.

Hi Alessandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started as I was raised by my beautiful, hippy, Buddhist mother and my military, analytical, tough-love father. They raised me to be curious, forgiving, and powerful. They wanted me to succeed by staying true to myself and being the happiest I could be.

In 2016, I was accepted to Pepperdine University’s Art School and carried on with my education in 2020 at Texas Tech for a Masters in Advanced Digital and Social Media. Completing graduate school by 23, I decided to start my own creative business, Howdy Princess. On the side, I practice my media skills by growing my own brand on TikTok and Instagram. These two actionables have been the sole focus of the last two years since graduation.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When advocating for yourself in the business or media world, the road is hardy ever smooth. Being an entrepreneur and a striving public figure comes with a consistent flow of enemies and energy suckers. I have found myself carrying a lot of negativity that has come from outsiders, whether they are jealous, greedy, or simply unhappy.

The bumps in the road seem to wear down when I create space for myself and tend to my mind and bodily needs. Over the last couple of years, I’ve learned the power of energy-conservation and self-affirmations. If I don’t believe in me, who else will? Hippy-Mama and Military-Daddy can only carry me so far. I have to be my biggest advocate and pick my battles wisely.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Currently, I offer six main services on my website, Howdy Princess. These include Social Media Directing, Content Creation, Graphic Design, Photography, Copy Writing, and Creative Consulting. In Austin, I am known best for Social Media Directing and Photography, although my passions lie in all of the above. I tend to be most proud of my Photography skills and Creative Consulting appointments.

I also am known to the Gen X/Millennial public for TikTok. I spend most of my personal media growth time on TikTok, as it is the most lucrative platform for myself. I have grown my account with authenticity and an abundance of comedic live streams (4-7x weekly). I gain customers for Howdy Princess this way, as well as monetary support by brand deals and agency work. A benefit to customers from my dedication to TikTok is my knowledge of PR and creator management. I hope to soon launch a program for Influencers who need PR, creation, and overall management support for their platforms. Stay tuned, or contact me now!

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
1. Stay true to your ethics.

2. Act now, not tomorrow.

3. Be okay with failure.

4. Keep growing.

5. Manifest.

Other than those, I wish I was trained on how to deal with unethical clients. Remember, your clients represent you and your brand. It’s okay to decline work if it doesn’t sit well with you. Money will come. Trust your gut, always.
