Meet Andrea White Parra

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea White Parra.

Hi Andrea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am from Venezuela, I move to texas in 2015 looking for a place to grow (in every aspect of my life) and running away from the Venezuelan government. I have family in Pflugerville so that was my first choice. Within only two days in Austin, I realize this was the place for me. I fall in love with the people, How polite everyone treated me, how everyone was trying to help me even when I forgot to bring cash for the metrocap (this was a funny story) I am a civil engineer and I started working with fiber optic installation (running cables basically) just labor, a lot of hard work, a lot of hours, but I enjoyed every minute and learn so much about texas, it allows me to travel and get to know all this small towns around Austin, it also allows me to work at UT and go discover UT historical buildings, football stadium, even some underground facilities.

Again I learn and got to know so much, and I guess this is the first piece of advice “on every situation you decide how you want to see things”, is so easy to caught up on the “I’m an engineer, what am I doing crawling under a street to pull a cable” or “omg I’m I never thought in a million years I was going to be discovering the underground mystery of one of the most prestigious universities in United State. Now I consider myself a multi-passionate woman/entrepreneur/worker. I am a safety instructor specializing on the mining industry (my husband’s Family business), in 2020 I listened to so many books that completely changed my perspective about how I wanted to live life and of course, I asked my husband to read all of them (he agree to listen to a couple of them and that was enough for me), All that knowledge allows me and my husband to start investing in real state and got our first project (we have a rental property and looking to invest in Rv parks at this time).

Last year I started my own company Andrea White Fit (AW Fit) dedicated to home workouts made for women mainly with kids and “no time”, “lack of motivation”, wanting to learn about their nutrition, wanting to learn about their bodies, wanting to feel confident from inside out, my vision is to create a safe place for ladies where they can use their experience with fitness and apply it in any aspect of their life, women that feel and know they can do whatever comes up on their minds. I keep growing and I keep learning, making sure I have always worked on myself, on my mindset. That will be my second advice, never stop learning, look for ways to expand your knowledge and use that knowledge, trust your self and you will be resourcefulness.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Moving to United State, making sure all my immigration status was taking care. That took few months but everything worked out. To everyone trying and moving to United State always ask for professional legal help. With all the three different companies I always needed and need to put in the work, grind, hustle, be patient, and understand the system. There is always something you have to do, fix, re-do, replace, but is on you if you really want to Make it happen.

On the health side, I was going through hormonal imbalance, insulin resistance, overweight, not able to sleep and extreme fatigue. It took me two years to fully heal 🙌🏽 Everything I learned from my experience I share with my community
