Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Toné.
Hi Angel , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Angel Toné, and my journey in music started with a deep passion for storytelling, creativity, and expressing real-life experiences through sound. I’ve been obsessed with music since I can remember. Growing up, music was always more than entertainment for me—it was a way to process emotions, connect with people, and create something meaningful. I grew up timid about displaying my ability to others out of fear that I would be judged. At the same time, I knew I wanted to become the biggest artist out there. It wasn’t until 8th grade that I decided to conquer my fears by doing the school talent show, not for anyone’s validation, but for myself to know that it is possible. I remember when my name was announced to walk the stage and perform; students and teachers alike were confused for a second, and then an overwhelming rush of joy and support flooded the room. From that moment forward, I began building in silence. I began developing my craft by writing lyrics, experimenting with different sounds, and learning the business side of the music industry. In 2019, I released a few demos on SoundCloud that got great reviews, but I knew that for where I wanted to go/ be i needed to move onto a bigger reach. I officially began releasing music in December 2020 to major platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Over time, I discovered that I wanted to build more than just a career as an artist—I wanted to create a movement and a community. Throughout my journey, I’ve faced challenges, setbacks, and moments of growth, but each experience has helped shape my identity as both an artist and entrepreneur. I’ve continued to evolve by staying committed to my vision, collaborating with others, and pushing myself creatively. For me, success isn’t just about recognition—it’s about creating something that lasts, impacting people through music, and leaving behind a meaningful legacy.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, the main difficulties I’ve faced were letting outside opinions rule my art and, sometimes, even self-doubt about whether I could achieve such a big and grandiose goal. Eventually, I got over myself and realized that God put this dream in my heart not because I couldn’t do it, but because I can and I will.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer, songwriter, and sometimes producer/engineer. I specialize in the genre of R&B, and occasionally I do branch out from that genre into too many other forms of art; I can consider my form of R&B to be more of a fusion/an alternative version. A song I am well known for would be ALTAR(Holy Matrimony) featuring Kili or Rush. I’m most proud of the fact that my art reaches people who do enjoy it and people who do feel what I say. When I create my art, I’m creating for that inner child within me that always knew that he could create; he just was never fully given a chance to create. Another song I’m well known for is ” You Can Tell, ” featuring my great friend and brother Evin. With the releases of Rush and ” You Can Tell, ” my career has definitely reached more inviting and open ears.

I am a singer/musician first and foremost, but I do love to do. I also am big into anime. I’m a big, huge One Piece fan. It’s my favorite anime of all time. I also am a big comic book nerd. I love Marvel and DC favorite superhero of all time will forever be the Flash, and then second place would be Spider-Man. Of course, everybody’s childhood hero.
