Meet Anna Hsu of Align & Uplevel Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Hsu.

Hi Anna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My path into coaching actually started with my own struggle with confidence and self-worth.

For a long time, I was someone who looked like I had it together on the outside, but internally I was constantly second-guessing myself. I thought I needed to achieve more, be better, or finally “figure myself out” before I could feel confident and at peace.

That changed when I started doing my own inner work and realized how much of the way we lead, make decisions, and show up in our businesses is shaped by beliefs we picked up long before we became entrepreneurs.

I became fascinated by that connection, trained as a coach, and eventually began working with entrepreneurs and high performers. Over the years, I’ve coached 300+ people, including founders across e-commerce, consulting, and tech.

What I love most is helping people realize that they don’t necessarily need to work harder or become a different version of themselves to create the business and life they want. Sometimes the biggest shift is learning how to trust yourself, stop letting fear and perfectionism run the show, and lead from a place that actually and truly feels like you.

That’s really what brought me to where I am today: helping founders build and scale businesses that are not only successful, but also feel sustainable, fulfilling, and fully aligned with who they are.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I’m actually grateful that it hasn’t been because it’s shaped who I am today. I’ve learned so much from the journey of entrepreneurship. I think entrepreneurship is often made to look much easier than it actually is, because we easily see on social media the launches, the revenue numbers, the freedom, the success stories…but we don’t always see what’s happening behind the scenes.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that your business is a mirror, and will reflect all parts of you back to yourself– including the things you try to hide or run away from. Your habits, your relationship with failure, the way you talk to yourself, how much you trust yourself, and even the things you believe you’re capable of will all show up in your business.

And honestly, not many people talk about that part because there’s so much pressure to look like you have it all figured out. I’ve had seasons where I was struggling behind the scenes while feeling like I needed to appear confident and put together on the outside.

Learning to be honest about those struggles–and understanding that they weren’t signs that I was failing, but opportunities to grow–completely changed the way I approach both entrepreneurship and coaching.

I think that’s one of the most important things I now help founders with. Because it’s not just about building a better business, but becoming the person who can actually lead it with confidence, self-trust, and sustainability.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business, Align & Uplevel, is a coaching practice for founders and entrepreneurs who want to grow their business without losing themselves in the process.

I specialize in the inner side of entrepreneurship: helping founders build confidence, self-trust, and the capacity to lead themselves and their business from a grounded place. Because I’ve found that the challenges we experience in our businesses are often connected to what’s happening within us. Maybe you’re constantly second-guessing yourself, struggling to take action, afraid of making the wrong decision, or feeling like you have to do everything perfectly. Those patterns don’t just disappear when you stop thinking about them; they show up in how you lead your business and life.

What sets my work apart is that I’m not here to tell founders what strategy they should use or give them another checklist of things to do. They likely already know what to do, but just can’t get themselves to do it consistently, or find themselves on a bunch of side quests (I’ve been there!). I’m much more interested in what’s underneath the surface and helping them understand themselves on a deeper level, so they can create change that actually lasts.

I’m probably most proud of the transformation I get to witness in people. Seeing someone go from second-guessing themselves or playing small to actually trusting themselves, owning who they are, and showing up with a confidence that feels natural to them is incredibly fulfilling. And I’ve seen time and time again that when someone grows and evolves on the inside, their business grows and evolves with them.

In essence, that’s what I want people to know about Align & Uplevel: it’s not about becoming a different person so you can become a better entrepreneur. It’s about becoming more fully yourself, finding your unique strengths, and learning how to lead from there.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is helping people feel truly confident in themselves. Because when someone becomes more confident, everything starts to shift. They make different choices, show up differently, and become more trusting and accepting of who they are.

And what I love is that the transformation doesn’t stop with them. The people around them notice it too! Partners, families, friends, teams, even strangers can feel that shift within you. When you feel more grounded and safe within yourself, you naturally create more of that energy for the people around you.

That ripple effect is what matters most to me. I believe that when we help one person become more confident and fully themselves, it has the potential to impact so many more people beyond them.
